On June 21, the popular Battle Royale game Fall Guys switched to a conditional free-to-play model and immediately ran into difficulties. As it turned out, that very date was marked on the calendar by many gamers. When they all logged in at the same time, the servers couldn’t take it and went down. Given the fact that they have been lying for two days in a row with variable improvements, it is not quite clear what the developers were counting on, and why they were not prepared.
To bypass the “Error Code 14” or “Internet connection error” message when starting the game, you have to first exit it, then directly launch Epic Games, then reopen the game. If you’ve done everything correctly, it will start downloading additional content and after a few seconds will let you into the lobby.
As a reminder, in addition to PC, Fall Guys was also released on PS5, getting backwards compatibility, so the percentage of gamepad players is quite impressive.
