For regular Clash Royale players, Path of Legends is the most important game mode, as it represents your skill level in the game after all. So, it’s quite crucial to have a good deck to achieve wins in Path of Legends, reach new heights, and improve your personal records.
However, it might be a time-consuming process to build multiple decks, find how to play with each one of them, and then decide if it really suits your playstyle or not. Well, lucky for you, we have already spent that time trying multiple different decks in Path of Legends, and now you have our top ten suggestions based on the number of wins we have achieved with each deck, how close or dominant those wins have been, and what decks we managed to win over.
10 Pekka And The Gang
Classic Deck With Fake Push Possibility
As much as this deck is strong on ground-focused battles, it lacks the power criteria for airborne strikes. Musketeer and Electro Wizard are your only options to deal with any aerial threats, yet they are both ground-based troops, which means they can be targeted by almost any card.
While this sounds like a big problem, the deck is still strong enough to deal with any big boy on the ground, from Mega Knight to Elite Barbarians. On the other hand, if you manage to keep your Electro Wizard alive in defensive scenarios, you can deny airborne pushes with the help of your tower and Musketeer.
This deck also allows for a fake rush, as you can deploy most of your forces on one side and then rush with your Hog Rider from the other side.
- Hog Rider can surprise the opponent with a fake push
- Vulnerable to aerial threats
Deck
- Electro Wizard
- The Log
- Pekka
- Hog Rider
- Musketeer
- Valkyrie
- Barbarian Barrel
- Bomber

9 All For One
Works Best In Double-Elixir Phase
We call this deck “All For One” because Royal Giant is your primary card to destroy the opponent’s crown towers, and every other unit must cover him, so he can do his duty. While Rage and The Log are great cards to get rid of spams like Skeleton Army or Goblin Gang, Magic Archer has a decent range to neutralize anything surrounding Giant Royale.
That being said, there must be a few troops ahead of Royal Giant to destroy any structure that could distract our big boy. This is where Valkyrie comes in handy, thanks to her pretty long health bar and the ability to get rid of any ground spam. Needless to say, all big pushes with this deck should be delayed to the Double Elixir phase.
- Easily deals with spam units
- Significant aerial denial
- Magic Archer and Dart Goblin can be defeated easily by spells
Deck
- Royal Giant (Evolution Slot)
- Rage
- Tesla Tower
- Dart Goblin
- The Log
- Valkyrie
- Magic Archer

8 Recruits’ Saga
Ultimate Defensive Deck
Little do people know about the power of Royal Recruits, but they are pretty capable in both offense and defense. This deck might be a bit costly, but that’s the price you pay for having a solid defense line. Flying Machine, Dart Goblin, Barbarian Barrel, and Inferno Tower make this deck pretty stellar in defensive scenarios, and even more effective in counter-attacks!
That’s where Lumberjack and then Mini Pekka come in. When you’re sure your opponent is low on Elixir, a push with Lumberjack, Mini Pekka, and Dart Goblin could easily turn the tides of the battle. Keep in mind that your decisions must be economic with this deck, or you can run out of Elixir quite fast.
- Strong in defending crown towers in the Double Elixir phase
- A single mistake can get you out-Elixired
Deck
- Royal Recruits (Evolution Spot)
- Lumberjack
- Mini Pekka
- Skeleton Army
- Flying Machine
- Inferno Tower
- Dart Goblin
- Barbarian Barrel

7 Collector’s Edition
Strict Defensive Approach Required In The First Minute
Whenever you have an Elixir Collector in your deck, it means that you need to play the first minute of the game defensively, so you can benefit from the extra Elixir. Hopefully, this deck gives you a wide variety of options in the defense line against any given card. If it’s a Hog Rider, you have Bats and Knight. If it’s a Mega Knight, you have Bats and Miner. If it’s an airborne push, you have Musketeer and Magic Archer.
However, if the enemy focuses on destroying your Elixir Collector(s) and if they have the means of it, you are in trouble. Spells like Rocket instantly destroy Elixir Collector, and others like Fireball or Poison take a significant amount of its health, which makes the benefits less worthwhile.
- Saves you from getting out-Elixired by the opponent
- Protecting Elixir Collectors against Rocket, Graveyard, or Miner could be costly
Deck
- Bats (Evolution Spot)
- Elixir Collector
- Knight
- Skeleton King
- Miner
- Fire Spirit
- Magic Archer

6 The Elites
Strong Against Mega Knight And Other Big Troops
Zappies are always great defensive troops against any giant enemy, but they always need to be coupled with a second card to destroy the target and save the Zappies themselves. The combination of Zappies and Valkyrie has always been a top-notch counter against Mega Knight or Pekka, but sometimes your big target may use the help of Bats, and that’s why we give you Ice Spirit.
The combination of Miner and Flying Machine creates an effective mini-push, while Miner distracts the tower and Flying Machine does the rest of the job. However, Elite Barbarians are the main destructors in this deck, thanks to their amazing hit rate, but they can be distracted pretty easily, which is why you need to send Night Witch and Ice Spirit forward. The only downside of this deck is its vulnerability against Firecracker or structures that could target you from afar, such as Mortar.
- Best deck for dealing with Pekka, Golem, Mega Knight, or any other giant
- Zappies and Flying Machine are quite vulnerable to Fireball
Deck
- Night Witch
- Elite Barbarians
- Zappies
- Miner
- Valkyrie
- Ice Spirit
- Flying Machine
- Barbarian Barrel

5 Wizard’s Watch
Strong Against Airborne Threats
Although Wizard is a bit vulnerable against strong melee damage dealers, you cannot ignore his ability to destroy airborne units and spam troops. That’s why coupling Hog Rider with a Wizard makes it pretty easy to reach the opponent’s crown towers if they decide to deny it via spam rather than structures.
On the other hand, Fireball is a crowd-control spell next to Firecracker. When it comes to defensive scenarios, you can use Bats and Tesla Tower for rushing troops like Ram Rider or Valkyrie and Tesla Tower for bigger ones like Electro Giant and Mega Knight.
While this deck is quite good at denying airborne threats, you might run out of solid ground damage dealers situationally, as Valkyrie is the only option in that case that can survive long battles against giant enemies.
- Strong aerial protection
- Fireball + Firecracker provide great crowd control ability
- Valkyrie is alone against a massive ground push
Deck
- Firecracker (Evolution Slot)
- Fireball
- Wizard
- Hog Rider
- Tesla Tower
- Skeleton Army
- Bats

4 Miner The Distractor
Best Economic Deck
If you are looking for a low-cost deck where you can deploy troops non-stop, here we have a good suggestion for you. Of course, it’s not as economical as Hog Cycle, but it’s a pretty effective and solid deck with a good distribution of air and ground troops.
The good thing with this deck is that you can play around a lot with the combination of Miner and Goblin Barren to gradually deal damage to the opponent’s tower without planning a grand push from your side. That being said, this deck could be vulnerable against big boys such as Golem or Mega Knight, especially if your opponent gets rid of your spam cards quickly using spell cards.
- Cost-effective deck for deploying troops back-to-back
- Miner and Royal Ghost are great for distracting targets
- Vulnerable to giant enemies like Golem
Deck
- Firecracker (Evolution Slot)
- Miner
- Barbarian Barrel
- Royal Ghost
- Bats
- Goblin Barrel
- Knight
- Musketeer

3 Prince In The Cannon
Strong Against Rushing Units
Battle Healer is an underrated card in Clash Royale, but she fits pretty well into this deck, as she can heal some important members of your army and help them to continue the push. While Cannon and Tesla Tower makes it almost impossible for tower-rushers such as Hog Rider to reach your crown towers, the combination of Battle Healer and Prince with the support of Firecracker from behind creates a quite powerful push.
If you manage to keep Arrows ready when pushing, your Prince will have a much higher chance of survival against spam units, and if he engages with bigger ground units, Battle Healer will charge his endurance significantly. That being said, this is just another deck with airborne vulnerability. Although Firecracker’s evolution could help you deal with big aerial threats, a massive airborne push could still turn the tides in your opponent’s favor.
- A single successful push with Prince could destroy the opponent’s crown tower
- Battle Healer increases the chance of survival for any associated unit
- Vulnerable to big airborne pushes
Deck
- Firecracker (Evolution Spot)
- Goblin Barrel
- Arrows
- Cannon
- Prince
- Battle Healer
- Bats
- Tesla Tower

2 The Unstoppables
Strong For Dual-Side Pushing
One of the best ways to deal damage to your opponent is to leave them confused by attacking from both sides of the map. This deck is built specifically for that purpose. So, your Wall Breakers go from left, and your Skeleton Barrel pushes from right. If your opponent is good enough to deny both pushes, they will barely have a chance against your Goblin Barrel deployment which could target any of the sides, knowing that your opponent is low on Elixir and low on spam-counter units.
Cannon will help you resist Hog Rider or similar types of units, while Valkyrie and Mini Pekka are your main units to deal with any big ground threat. Firecracker plays a major role in this deck as your crowd control unit and the only card that can actually target airborne troops. So, you really need to take good care of her. If you calculate your pushes with this deck precisely, the damage done will be high enough to neglect the deck’s airborne vulnerability.
- Allowing for cost-effective push from both sides of the map
- Firecracker is the only air denial unit
Deck
- Firecracker (Evolution Spot)
- Goblin Barrel
- Cannon
- Mini Pekka
- Valkyrie
- Skeleton Army
- Wall Breakers

1 Rocket’em Up
Best Deck For Counter-Attacks
This is a deck for patient players with a defensive mindset. If you wouldn’t mind fighting on the battlefield until the very last second to come out victorious, this deck is for you. As you can notice, this deck doesn’t have any unit that can push forward and only focuses on crown towers, which means this is a deck for defense and counter-attack.
So, you should always defend the opponent’s strikes economically, which is quite possible with units like Goblin Cage, Knight, Bats, Skeleton Army, and Firecracker. Now, if you manage to out-elixir your opponent, you can start your counter-attack.
Rocket plays a very crucial role in this deck, not because it deals significant damage, but due to the fact that you need to use it when you really need it. Using a 6-Elixir spell in Clash Royale is no joke, and one miss could easily turn you into the loser of the match. Of course, it’s always best to target Crown Tower and a bunch of other troops together to get the most out of Rocket, but in the late minutes of the round when Sudden Death is active, Rocket could be your winning ticket. Unlike most other decks on this list, this one is powerful enough in both aerial and ground battles. But the aerial defense is tied to Princess and Firecracker to a high degree, and you must avoid deploying them next to each other, or you will simply commit suicide. That being said, this deck is not flawless. The fact that you need to be quite precise and economical with your deployments, makes it really hard to cover any mistakes with this deck.
- Balanced in air and ground battles
- Solid defense and counter-attack cycle
- Requires planned Rocket deployment, especially later in the match
Deck
- Firecracker (Evolution Slot)
- Rocket
- Goblin Cage
- Knight
- Skeleton Army
- Bats
- Inferno Tower
