Acquiring materials to upgrade the skills and abilities of your protagonist gives players a sense of progression and accomplishment. This can make a game significantly more engaging and keep players invested in playing it for much longer.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 offers players a collectible in the form of Tech parts. These parts can be obtained in a number of ways and will help players become more powerful than when they started the game. These are not the only collectibles. Another great option to keep an eye out for are Hero Tokens.
How To Get Tech Parts
Players are able to use Tech Parts to upgrade their suit tech and their gadgets. They are also used as a means to unlock more suits for the player — this makes them a highly sought-after item throughout the game. These Tech Parts can be obtained in many different ways, such as opening Tech Crates, completing Emily-May Foundation Experiments, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Requests, collecting Spider-Bots, stopping crimes, completing bonus objectives, and defeating all hunters in Hunter Blinds — aside from Tech Crates and Spider-Bots, the rest will not reward Tech Parts every time.
It is advised that you do not spend these Tech Parts needlessly as sometimes you will find yourself needing a large amount of them saved up in order to get a specific upgrade. It is recommended that you spend the earlier parts of the game getting your baring and exploring which features you enjoy and what you want to upgrade. If you are about to spend a lot of Tech Parts, you should consider pausing the game and making a manual save. You can then test out your upgrades before deciding if you want to keep it or quit the game and reload your manual save.
Rare Tech Parts
Players will also get a resource called Rare Tech Parts. These serve as means of players becoming too powerful too fast. You will only come by them by progressing the story further. If you feel you are in need of them, simply play through the main story and more will become available. You will get these from Emily-May Foundation Experiments, Unidentified Targets, Hunter Blinds, and Prowler Stashes.
