We all have loved bubble blowers as a kid, and Nintendo is giving us a trip down memory lane with the latest Bubble Form power-up in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. At first glance, the Bubble Form will look like one of the most harmless power-ups you have ever seen.
There is an adorable animation of the character blowing a bubble when you use the attack, and one wonders how deadly could a bubble be. Well, Mario’s all-new power-up is all about defying logic. With really good offensive and utility attributes, the Bubble Form is easily the best power-up you can get in the game. Here is all you need to know about it.
How To Use Bubble Form
The Bubble Form is basically a slower, but more effective version of the Fire Form. In order to activate the Bubble Form, players will need to get the Bubble Flower which looks quite similar to the Fire Flower, but it is pink and green in color instead. As far as stacking up is concerned, the Bubble Form works well in conjunction with the Drill Form, as it would cover most scenarios you will need power-ups for. Blocked walls can be simply bypassed with the Drill Form, something the Bubble Form struggles with.
While the Bubble form doesn’t have any defensive characteristics as such, it is a really well-rounded power-up because of its ability to make reaching far-off places much easier. You can simply pop a couple of bubbles and use them as platforms to hop onto and jump into harder-to-reach areas. Additionally, you can just wait for a bubble to go far away and jump on top of that directly and into the next platform.
As far as offensive capabilities are concerned, the Bubble Form works like the Fire Form, but there are a couple of interesting features. Firstly, if a bubble is near an enemy, it snaps into it even if it itself is going in a different direction. This makes it much more accurate than the Fire projectiles. Secondly, it can go past walls and defeat enemies, which is an extremely useful feature to have. Considering its versatility, the Bubble Form is a really good power-up to have in a wide array of scenarios, and almost makes the Fire Mode obsolete.
