Creative Assembly is famous for strategies from the Total War series, but the studio is also humble to other genres. Since the release of the horror Alien Isolation, the public has been waiting for a new unusual game from the studio – well, they waited.
SEGA has announced the multiplayer action game HYENAS. It tells the story of a future where the rich live on Mars and the poor suffer in an orbital slum called “Dirt”. This state of affairs does not suit everyone – for example, it is not to the liking of the “Hyenas”, the thieves who are a nuisance to the powers that be.
In this multiplayer shooter, gamers will have to join forces and loot the rich – which isn’t easy, given the various security systems and hordes of guards. Plus, who knows if one of the raiders might want to line their own pockets a little tighter? The action game is declared as PvEvP, so that the players will fight not only with AI opponents, but also among themselves.
HYENAS will be released on PC as well as PlayStation and Xbox. The release date is still a mystery – but considering that Creative Assembly has been developing the project for four years, it won’t be long in coming.
