Developers from Plethora Project studio have released a gameplay trailer of Common’hood, their community-building game with plenty of building tools. In the presented material, viewers were shown a set of different activities and basic tools with resources that the player will deal with.
So, Common’hood is an economic community building simulator with lots of customizable building tools. Players here will need to mine materials, build a house, grow their own food, explore new technologies, make new tools, and even create a family.
“Build a thriving community by growing food as well as building shelters, workshops, and finally high-tech production facilities. In the workshop, you’ll find unique tools so you can change any part.”,” the developers themselves describe the basic gameplay mechanics of Common’hood.
The settlers here have their own needs and aspirations. The player can transform them from impoverished beggars to important members of a prosperous society. To do this, it is essential to leave the hard work to the machines, using construction stations to build unique automated systems.
An important task for Common’hood players is to achieve food self-sufficiency for their settlement by growing various crops. And a wide variety of cooking recipes will help make settlers happy.
Another important component of the game is the exploration of an abandoned factory full of resources, history, memories, and “unfulfilled intentions.” The authors have made it clear that with each find, players will get one step closer to unraveling the bleak fate of this place. Finally, the bases and unique habitats created will be shared through an in-game online base – a good way for creative gamers to establish themselves.
Common’hood should be released this year on Steam (there are page for review), the exact release date has not yet been announced by the developers. It is known that the project will support a cooperative mode for four people.
