Monsters are an integral part of the Xenoblade Chronicles series, and they are once again at the forefront of the third installment. From the beginning to the end of the game, you can’t run for more than a few seconds without a monster jumping out in front of you. So in this guide, we will detail all the different types of monsters so that you know what you have to face when these monsters try to pounce on you.
What types of monsters are there in Xenoblade Chronicles 3?
Throughout the seven chapters of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, you will encounter a total of four types of monsters. Each can be recognized by a unique visual clue above your head. Each type will pose a different threat and offer different rewards after victory. Below are all four types of monsters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
- Regular Monster. – These monsters will be lack any unique visual attributes over their heads. They are fairly easy to destroy if you are on the same level as them.
- Elite Monster – These monsters can be recognized by blue visual clue above their heads. They will be a test of strength for players, proving to be tougher and stronger than their normal counterparts.
- Unique Monster – Unique monsters can be identified by orange-yellow visual clue above their heads. These enemies will prove to be extremely difficult and will require you to strategize very well before engaging them.
- Lucky Monster. – These brilliant monsters will have glitter over their heads. which shows that it is a lucky monster. They are no more difficult than normal enemies, but they are quite rare and when defeated they yield much more rewards than for a normal monster.
Learning the different types of monsters will be the key to your success in the lands of Ayonyos. Tracking down lucky monsters for their prey or proper preparation before encountering a unique monster will be crucial.
