If the years of the pandemic have taught us anything, it’s that video games must have crossplay support, so that friends who prefer different game platforms can spend time with each other in their favorite games without unnecessary obstacles. Developers though late, but also realized this undeniable fact, and began to actively implement crossplay in their projects.
Authors of the sandbox Terraria, which is one of the most popular modern video games, for some reason strongly “slow down” with the introduction of crossplay in their creation, but in the future support for this feature still has a chance to appear. Thus, the head of strategic development studio Re-Logic Ted Murphy saidThe company is aware of the need for crossplay and will try to implement it on PC, consoles and even mobile devices.
When the long-awaited update will be applied to Terraria, however, is still an open question: first Re-Logic plans to release the Labor of Love update, and only then begin to work out the details of crossplay.
Terraria turned 11 years old in mid-May.
