For the longest time, it seemed like the red door in the labyrinth was just a red herring (no pun intended) for Remnant 2. After a whole lot of searching by the community, though, it turns out there is something behind that Red Corrupted Door, something immensely valuable in fact. Learn how to unlock it to find a new extra archetype.
What do players need to open the Corrupted Door in Remnant 2?
Remnant 2 players who came across this door and had nothing happen likely experienced this because they weren’t in a “corrupted” state. A player can only get the door open if they are, themselves, corrupted. Therefore, players are going to need a specific build before they even step foot in the labyrinth. Here are the items that players will need to become corrupted:
- Leto’s Amulet: bought from Reggie after 100 flops.
- Black Cat Band Ring: bought from Reggie after dying 15 times or more.
- Anastasija’s Inspiration: bought from Whispers in Ward 13.
- Amber Moonstone: bought from Cass in Ward 13 (shop inventory changes every 30 minutes).
- Explorer Archetype: acquired with Broken Compass after beating the final boss.
- Invader Archetype: bring Dreamcatcher weapon to Corrupted Harbor in Root Earth.
- Realmwalker Armor Set: bought from Whispers in Ward 13 after the game has been beat.
- Void Heart: go through storyline on N’Erud and send the ship to Alepsis-Taura.
- Ford’s Scattergun: inside the Red Throne’s library.
- Labyrinth Staff: found after defeating the Labyrinth boss.
- Cube Gun: can be built by McCabe after beating the Labyrinth boss.
How to find the Corrupted Door in Remnant 2
Although the portals inside the Labyrinth are basically random, players can look for a specific room that will have the Corrupted Door inside. If players look inside the portal and see a room that looks like there’s no landing beneath (just thin air), that’s where the Corrupted Door is.
Once inside, there should be two enemies to defeat. Afterwards, progress a little further and turn right; the Corrupted Door should be right there. I would definitely just take out these enemies instead of leaving them to be annoying. Getting inside will earn players the Archon archetype, which offers a nice playstyle for magic users.
