Enigmas in Assassin’s Creed Mirage are essentially treasure maps that players need to figure out the solution to from contextual clues and vague hints. Similar to previous AC games, there are no UI hints or in-game markers that indicate where the solution to an enigma is located. Players have to figure it all out by themselves.
A Challenge Enigma can be found in the western part of the Abbasiyah district, just south of the Scriptorium. It is an early game location that players will be able to visit as soon as they’re allowed to free-roam in Baghdad.
Where To Find ‘A Challenge’ Enigma
Head to the Abbasiyah district and venture to the location marked on the map. You’ll see a busy town square with people going about their day and a few houses in a circle.
The ‘A Challenge’ Enigma is located on a balcony of one of the houses. Use Enkidu to mark the location from Aerial View to find it easily. Interact with the Enigma, and it will be added to your inventory.
How To Solve ‘A Challenge’ Enigma
Read ‘A Challenge’ Enigma, and you’ll find that the writer challenges the players to find a location based on some clues. The first clue is ‘Turn East from where the learned Observe’. This is in reference to the Observatory, one of the major locations in Abbasiyah. Then, ‘Seek out the isle where water splits’ is a reference to the Gate of Tahir island, as it is the only island not connected to the rest of the district. And ‘Where Wheels churn’ indicates the large water wheel on the island.
This is where we need to go.
- Head to the location marked on the map to find the Water Wheel on the river.
- Directly behind the Water Wheel, you’ll see an open window peeking into a room.
- Position yourself by the window and activate Eagle Vision to see a barred window blocking entry to the room.
- Use a Throwing Knife to destroy the blockade and open the way inside.
- Enter the room from the window you open and jump down to the lower floor.
- Head to the glowing circle and interact with it to find the Black Rostam Outfit Dye, the reward for completing the ‘A Challenge’ Enigma.
