A remake of an old fan-favorite, Lords of the Fallen is a pretty typical Soulslike heavily inspired by Dark Souls, with a pinch of Sekiro and Bloodborne in it to give it that extra pizzazz. The game isn’t as polished as FromSoftware games, but it comes quite close, making it an overall fun experience.
An important part of any RPG is customization. The kind of character you make, the different stats you choose to level up, and the weapons you choose all play a role in bringing your character to life. The appearance of your character in Lords of the Fallen is fully customizable before you start the game, but you can also change the color of your armor according to your desires during the game.
Can You Change Your Armor Color?
Yes, you can change your armor’s color in Lords of the Fallen. There are a lot of different armors in the game that don’t always have a matching color scheme, giving your character a mismatched look if worn together. While some people prefer to rock the chaotic combos, others would much rather have a way to homogenize their armor and get their medieval charisma as high as they can.
The only way to change your armor color in the game is through Tincts, which are located in the pause menu as the left most option. Tincts can be found throughout the world as drops and rare items or rewards.
How To Use Tincts
- Open the pause menu by pressing Esc on your keyboard, or the associated key on controllers.
- Press A or D to navigate to the Tincts subsection of the menu.
- Press Q or A to select the desired armor part.
- Press Enter to apply the Tinct to that particular part, or press F to apply it to all the parts at once.
If you apply a particular Tinct but would like to go back to the way the armor originally looked, you can press R to remove the Tinct. You can’t remove it from all the armor parts at once, so you’ll need to individually select them and remove the tincts for each one.
