What Is Petrification Disease?
Petrification Disease is the pandemic that almost completely took over the city of Krat, wiping out its population. The first signs of the disease is the affected person’s blood turns blue, along with the external body. Those affected can also feel cold, and experience scabies. The body will become covered in what looks like crystals, as seen on Antonia in Hotel Krat. She is affected by the disease, and is covered in the crystals on her face.
Along with these visual symptoms, Petrification Disease can cause its victims to go blind, and usually they are considered ‘insane’. Sometimes, the victims can also turn into monsters, while others eventually pass away. Most of the residents who are still alive but afflicted by Petrification Disease have had to stay in quarantine facilities, completely blocked off from others. The disease can easily spread, but luckily, Pinnochio is not affected by it.
As you begin to visit Hotel Krat more often and get to know Antonia, you are eventually given the choice to cure her of Petrification Disease. However, the decision itself is quite difficult, so we will provide you with which option you should choose.
Should You Cure Antonia?
As we mentioned before, you are eventually able to cure Antonia of the disease plaguing Krat. You’ll only be able to get the cure after you’ve defeated the King of Puppets boss. You’ll then need to visit her at the hotel, and pick up the letter at the front desk. You’ll then want to find Polendina in the courtyard, which will begin the quest of choosing to cure her or not.
Next, you’ll need to find Giangio in Hotel Krat on the second floor and give him a Golden Coin Fruit to receive the cure. When you return to Polendina, this is where you’ll need to make your decision.
If you choose to give the medicine to Antonia, she will be completely cured, and you can approach her in the hotel where she’ll be visibly much healthier. However, not too much long after, she will pass away. This is unavoidable no matter what route you choose, however, giving her the cure will allow her to pass away with no pain and in peace. If you do not give her the medicine, she will still pass away, but she will be in pain and suffering during it. This is the only difference between the two options, so we highly suggest curing her of the Petrification Disease.
