One of the many pros of Lies of P is the customization options available in the game. Though not as extreme as some of the builds and appearances in, say, Elden Ring, Lies of P does allow the player to pick out a look for their character according to their tastes.
You can change your outfits at any time during the game, regardless of whether you’re at a Stargazer or not.

How To Acquire New Outfits
There are a whole range of different outfits available for you in Lies of P. As a rule of thumb, human-type enemies will drop an Outfit as a reward for killing. This includes the Mad Donkey Boss on Elysion Boulevard and the Survivor (optional boss) in the Puppet Factory.
However, players can also obtain outfits via quests, e.g. the Refugee Letter Quest will reward the player with the Owl outfit plus a Quartz.
How To Change Outfits
The menu in Lies of P isn’t unintuitive, but it does have a few different options to choose from, making it hard for newer player to find what they want to without spending too much time. Follow the given steps to change your outfit in Lies of P:
- Press Escape (Menu button on controllers) and open up the Menu screen. Keep in mind that like other soulslike games, opening the menu doesn’t pause the game, so make sure you’re in a secure location without any enemies around. It’s a good idea to do this around a Stargazer to prevent any errant enemies from stumbling into you
- On the top right of the screen, you’ll see an option to open Equipment. Press it.
- Once in Equipment, press E twice to switch tabs to the Outfits menu.
- Here, you can click on the Accessory tab to switch between different headsets, and the Outfits section will determine what type of clothes you wear. If you accidentally wear an accessory you don’t like, you can unequip it by pressing R.
