Destiny 2 Beyond Light was released with a brand-new darkness subclass called Stasis. It was the first ever darkness subclass that was released and it offered a unique playstyle. Stasis focuses more on crowd control with its ability to freeze and slow combatants.
The Stasis subclass, just like every other Light subclass, is different for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans thanks to the different Aspect options they have, but all three of the classes contain the same Fragments. There are 14 Stasis Fragments, each adding something unique to build crafting options.
10 Whisper Of Torment
Whisper of Torment is another Grenade ability regeneration Fragment that works as “you gain grenade energy each time you take damage from targets.” Whisper of Torments provides a free source of ability regeneration as you will always be taking damage when you are in a fight.
Whisper of Torment provides players with 5 percent Grenade ability energy once every second as long as they are taking damage. This fragment provides the same amount in both PvP and PvE.
9 Whisper Of Bonds
Whisper of Bonds is the only Stasis fragment that improves the Super ability regeneration. Whisper of Bonds works as “defeating frozen target grants you super energy.” Whisper of Bonds also gives a -10 Discipline and Intellect penalty.
Defeating a frozen target while you have Whisper of Bonds equipped will provide you with 2.5 percent super energy. This Fragment works extremely well with the Warlock build of Ager’s Scepter and Mantle of Battle Harmony.
8 Whisper Of Conduction
Whisper of Conduction improves Stasis shards. Stasis shards are Stasis pickup elements that every class can generate through their respective harvest Aspects. Stasis Shards provide you 10 percent melee ability energy on pickup, however depending on the build you are running they can also provide you with Overshield as well as Armor charge.
Whisper of Conduction works as “nearby Stasis Shards tack to your position.” Whisper of Conduction also provides +10 Intellect as well as Resilience. The tracking these Stasis Shards gain is extremely noticeable and provides some nice ease of use.
7 Whisper Of Rending
Whisper of Rending improves the gunplay as it states “Kinetic weapons do increased damage to Stasis crystals and frozen targets.” Destroying a Stasis crystal or defeating a frozen target triggers the shatter effect.
Shatter is an extremely effective tool for crowd control as it damages enemies in a significant radius. Whisper of Rending improves the damage Kinetic and Stasis weapons do to frozen combatants by 43% and Stasis crystals by 100 percent.
6 Whisper Of Refraction
Whisper of Refraction states “Defeating Slowed of Frozen targets grants you class ability energy.” Whisper of Refractions is a great fragment to have if you are using a build that focuses on ability regeneration.
Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks can all use their Stasis class ability in numerous ways that complement the Stasis Aspects and playstyles. Players can also use armor mods like Bomber, Reaper, and Outreach to get further ability energy when they use their class ability.
5 Whisper Of Rime
Whisper of Rime adds another means of survivability to the Stasis subclass by providing players with Overshields. The Overshield that Whisper of Rime provides is not a Void Overshield, and it lasts for about 10 seconds. If a player does not have full health, Whisper of Rime will heal you instead.
Whisper of Rime works as “collecting a Stasis shard grants a small amount of Overshield, which falls off after 10 seconds. Collecting additional Shards adds to the Overshield and refreshes the timer.”
4 Whisper Of Durance
Whisper of Durance improves the slow effect that is provided by the Stasis subclass, meaning “slow from your abilities last longer. For those abilities that linger, their duration will also increase.”
Slow is a great crowd clear control as it limits the combatant’s movement in both PvE and PvP. Whisper of Durance improves the Slow duration from 2.5 to 4.5 seconds in PvE and from 1.5 to 2 seconds in PvP.
3 Whisper Of Fissures
Whisper of Fissures improves the Shatter effect as it states “increases the damage and size of the burst of Stasis when you destroy a Stasis crystal or defeat a frozen target.” Shatter is one of the best ad-clear effects in the game as it can easily clear a group of combatants.
In PvE, the effect of Whisper of Fissures is extremely noticeable as it increases the blast radius to 10 meters and significantly improves the damage it inflicts. In PvP, the blast radius is only increased up to 8 meters with slightly lower improved damage.
2 Whisper Of Chains
Every subclass provides a means of survivability; Void has Devour, Solar has Cure and Restoration, Strand has Woven Mail, Arc has a Fragment, and Stasis has Whisper of Chains. Whisper of Chains states “While you are near Frozen targets or friendly Stasis crystals you take reduced damage from targets.”
Whisper of Chains is an essential Fragment to have in any Stasis build as it is the only source of extra survivability you will get. Whisper of Chains provides a 40 percent damage resistance while you are within 10 meters of friendly Stasis crystals or frozen targets. In PvP, it provides you with a 7.5 percent damage resistance.
1 Whisper Of Shards
Whisper of Shards improves Grenade ability regeneration as it states “Shattering a Stasis crystal boosts your grenade recharge rate. Shattering additional Stasis crystals improves the duration of this benefit.”
Whisper of Shards upon destroying a Stasis crystal grants a five-second Grenade regeneration buff that increases the recharge rate of Grenades by 200% in PvE and 100% in PvP. This Fragment works even better if you are using a Stasis weapon with the perk Headstone on it.
