Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an Assassin’s Creed game that is set in 9th century Baghdad. While the game isn’t the longest game in the franchise, it certainly has a decent amount of gameplay for players to stay entertained for hours. Considering it was originally going to be a DLC for Valhalla, the game has some great missions.
The game offers 42 different main mission quests that players can play through. In addition to these quests, there are 6 different major side quests located throughout the game to allow players to have even more adventures in Baghdad. Here’s a list of those 6 side quests, ranked.
6 Collecting Dervis’ Artifacts
One of the different quests that you can participate in is collecting the Dervis Artifacts for Dervis. He will ask you to gather different artifacts all over the map. In order to obtain these items for him, you will need to identify the target that has them and then pickpocket it from them. This can be extremely challenging, especially if you aren’t good at the little mini-game that goes along with pickpocketing.
Once you have completed this questline, you will obtain the Treasure Hunter Costume, one of the many easter eggs within the game. This costume looks like one that Indiana Jones wore during one of his movies. There are 18 of the Dervis Artifacts you will need to find in order to obtain this costume and finish the questline. While this is a great reward and a fun quest, hunting all the targets can be long and arduous, making this so low on the list.
5 Collecting The Lost Books
Another side quest that players can participate in is the one that requires them to find the Lost Books that are scattered around the map of Baghdad. For this quest, you will be working with the House of Wisdom to find the different Lost Books of Al-Jahiz, one of the most prolific writers from Baghdad during the time of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. You will work with Al-Jahiz to find 6 of his Lost Books. Once you have done that, he will tell you about a 7th Lost Book.
This questline is the only way that you can obtain the Scholar Costume, a costume for Basim that looks identical to what scholars during the time wore around Baghdad. In order to obtain the costume, you will need to find all 6 of the Lost Books and return to Al-Jahiz. He will then point you in the direction of the final Lost Book. Once you bring it back to him, he will reward you with this costume, and you will unlock an achievement/trophy for the game. Just like with the Dervis Artifacts, finding them all can be arduous; however, it does offer a more unique storyline, bumping its place on the list.
4 Solving Enigmas
Enigmas aren’t really a side quest so much as a collectible for Basim. However, each Enigma offers its own quest, making solving them all its own questline. There are a ton of different Engimas you can find throughout the map, each of which will lead you to a puzzle that you must complete in order to obtain loot.
This questline requires that you are able to solve puzzles easily. Once you complete an Enigma, you will be given some sort of reward, usually in the form of gear. Completing them all will allow you to get one step closer to 100% completing the game. This questline offers unique puzzles and clues to hunting down these items, meaning they can be pretty fun to solve.
3 Tales Of Baghdad
Tales of Baghdad are just what they sound like, different tales throughout the city of Baghdad. Each of these tales will offer Basim a unique opportunity to meet the civilians around the city and help them with some of the many problems that they have encountered.
There are 6 total Tales of Baghdad that can be found throughout the game. Each one is a unique story of a civilian needing Basim’s help in order to figure something out. Finding these tales and completing them are required to 100% the game. While you won’t get anything amazing from them, you can get a sense of life in Baghdad, making them a pretty great side questline to check out.
2 Contracts
Contracts are exactly what you think they are. They are side quests that have been given to the Hidden ones in order to complete. You are able to pick them up at any Contract Board around the city of Baghdad. These are usually found near the Hidden Ones Bureaus.
These contracts can range from assassinating a certain target to just obtaining an item without being seen. They will allow you to hone your skills as a Master Assassin and work toward creating a name for yourself within the Hidden Ones and the city of Baghdad. They rank so high on the list due to sheer variety of missions.
1 The Calling
The Calling is a quest that is given to you by Nehal after you return to Baghdad. She will task you with finding Mysterious Shards, which number 10 in all. Once you have found those, you will need to find the Hidden Ones hideout located deep in the desert.
Completing this questline will help you give Nehal answers to what has been bugging her all these years. In addition to that, you can get some pretty amazing gear that can help you out tremendously in the game. The storyline of this questline is what makes it so amazing.
