Cyberpunk 2077 features a pretty impressive selection of weapons that includes everything from basic pistols and swords to high-tech rifles, shotguns, SMGs, and more. Many of these weapons have Iconic versions that come with a variety of unique benefits and characteristics. One such example is the Yinglong SMG.
The Yinglong is an Iconic version of the Kang Tao G-58 Dian, a smart submachine gun that puts most other standard weapons to shame. Meanwhile, the Yinglong itself is hands down one of the best weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 even after the launch of Phantom Liberty. Keep reading to find out how you can get your hands on this amazing SMG.
How To Get The Yinglong Smart SMG
Similar to some of the other iconic weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, the Yinglong can’t be acquired as a drop or quest reward. Instead, you’ll need to craft the weapon yourself, and it will cost you a fair amount of resources to do so. Even more importantly, though, you’ll first need to find the Yinglong crafting spec. And when we say find, we mean pry it from the cold dead hands of a crime boss known as Denzel Cryer, AKA “The Brain.”
You’ll find The Brain by answering an NCPD scanner hustle called Suspected Organized Crime Activity: Living The Big Life. You’ll find the scanner hustle in Wellsprings, Heywood district, close to the Skyline South building. Denzel Cryer is the man you’ll need to take down for the crafting spec but make sure to loot all the bodies in the area once you’re done because you’ll also find a pair of epic shorts along with a rare F-GX Frag Grenade.
Yinglong Smart SMG Stats And Crafting Requirements
The Yinglong is a very powerful Smart SMG that comes with +50% headshot damage multiplier, +12% critical damage, +20 shock chance, and a lock-on time of around 1 second. Some of these stats may vary depending on your character, but you won’t be disappointed by what this weapon has to offer regardless. Especially since we haven’t even mentioned the best part, which is a passive effect that allows the Yinglong to deal Electrical damage. The weapon also has a small chance of applying EMG on impact.
In order to craft this bad boy you’ll need the Edgerunner perk from the Technical tree. In addition to the crafting spec, you’ll also need x40 Tier 5 Item Components to put together the weapon. That’s certainly not cheap, but totally worth it considering how good this weapon is. Needless to say, the Yinglong Smart SMG is an endgame weapon that can only be crafted by high-level characters.
