Spider-Man 2 quickly interrupts Miles and Peter’s daily lives with a villain attacking New York. While the first section of the game is on rails as players learn the ropes, things will slowly open up more, giving players the ability to free roam and explore the city to their heart’s desire.
Spider-Man 2 comes with many unique suits for both Peter and Miles to wear, with each suit having different styles to change up the colors. After progressing to a certain point in the story, players can change the suits of both Spider-Men as often as they’d like.
When Can You Change Suits
The opening section of Spider-Man 2 will have both Peter and Miles teaming up to fight Sandman and help the city recover from the aftermath of this massive fight. After Sandman has been taken care of, players will switch between Peter and Miles as they complete requests to help the people of New York. After completing the requests, Peter will mention he needs to change suits to get rid of the sand, and the next objective marker will take players to a backpack on a rooftop. The following section will introduce the suits menu and will now let players switch suits for both Peter and Miles whenever they’d like moving forward.
How To Change Suits
After finishing this main mission, the suits for both Peter and Miles can be switched by opening up the menu by pressing the touchpad. The second option from the left is the “Suits” menu, which can be toggled between both Peter and Miles by pressing L2 and R2, respectively. Under the “Suits” title will also be the number of affordable suits. This will let players know how many new suits for both Peter and Miles can be crafted with their current materials.
To switch suits, simply hover over the new suit you’d like to equip to see what it looks like and craft it by holding “X.” Should the suit already be made, pressing X will equip it. Each suit also has multiple styles, which are different color schemes for that suit. All of the styles for a suit will need to be crafted but are done as one lump sum. If the styles for a suit are crafted, equipping the suit will also open the styles menu for that suit, letting players select exactly which style for that suit to equip.
How To Craft New Suits & Styles
To equip a new suit or style, they will first need to be crafted. Crafting both suits and styles will require City Tokens and Tech Parts, which can be earned through the side content scattered around New York. To earn Tech Parts, simply complete crimes as they appear. Crimes are marked with red caution signs that will appear in the open world while you explore, so keep an eye out and jump in to stop the crimes as they appear.
City Tokens can be earned by either taking photos, collecting Marko’s Memories, or completing side quests in the app. Taking photos is a simple and non-combat way to earn these tokens, but Marko’s Memories and side quests take longer and reward the player accordingly. When in the suit menu, look along the right side of the screen to see how much a new suit costs and press “X” to craft it. To craft the styles for that selected suit, hover over it and, look along the bottom of the screen and hold square to craft all of the styles.
