In Lies of P, you’ll notice at a few points in the game a ringing sound coming from a nearby phone. You can pick these up, and you’ll need to answer a few riddles correctly from the King of Riddles.
In total, there are 5 different phones that you can answer to get keys in return. We will give you the location of each one, and the correct answer you’ll need to provide to solve the riddle.
Krat City Hall Courtyard – Phone #1
To find the first phone, start at the Krat City Hall Courtyard Stargazer from Chapter 2. From here, head forward through the golden archway, and turn right. At the end of the hallway, turn right again, and then make a left through the golden doors out onto the street.
Head down the staircase in front of you and make a right. Keep following down the path, and then make a left. Before crossing the bridge into Venigni Works, take a right down the street. There will be the first phone to your left.
The riddle is as follows: “By morning, it walks on feet numbering four. At mid-day just two, no less and no more. It walks on three feet when the evening arrives. And if you solve this then I’ll know you’re alive!” The correct answer is Human.
Malum District – Phone #2
The second phone will be in Malum District from Chapter 5. From this Stargazer, immediately head right up the staircase. Turn left, and follow the path to the very end until you enter a small house with an enemy inside. At the back of the room, make your way up the staircase and then turn right and follow the path into the next room.
Inside this house, drop through the hole in the floor and head outside. From the center, head north down the path on the right. Next, turn left and at the end of the path, turn left again into the room shown above. An enemy will drop through the ceiling here. Take the ladder up to the second floor, and the phone will be at the back of the room.
The second riddle is: “I stand tall and proud when I’m young and bold. But I’m short and humble once I’ve gotten old. What am I?” The answer for this one is Candle.
Grand Exhibition Gallery/Saintess Of Mercy Statue – Phone #3
Next up, we will be heading to the Saintess of Mercy Statue in Chapter 7. From the Stargazer, head through the doors where you came in and turn right into the room with the railcar. Stay on the right side of the room, and then turn left and through the doorway on the right. In this room, turn right again and follow up the staircase.
At the top, there will be an enemy with a gun here. After you defeat him, make your way left through the doorway and then follow down the path on the right. At the very end of this hallway, the phone will be directly on your right.
The third riddle is as follows: “Think about this, whatever it takes: What cannot be used before it breaks?” The answer for this is Egg.
Krat Central Station Street – Phone #4
The next phone will be located in Krat Central Station Street from Chapter 9. Starting at the Stargazer, immediately turn right and then left. Head down the staircase, and turn left where the phone will be sitting off to the left.
The riddle for this phone is: “This blue flower has many ways to take root. But only on man does it ever bear fruit.” The answer for this one is Ergo.
Relic Of Trismegistus Entrance – Phone #5
The last phone can be found in the Relic of Trismegistus Entrance in Chapter 10. From here, head down the stairs and through the cave into the next area. Make your way down the stone stairs, and go straight down the path. Turn right through the stone archway.
Next, turn right and head up the ramp. At the top here, you’ll find the last phone sitting next to a lantern and a box.
The last riddle will be: “This one is black and white. A no or a yes. Is Geppetto’s creation a killer? CONFESS!” For this one, you’ll want to answer Yes. You’ll receive the King of Riddles’ Surprise Box, which will have the last key inside. You can open it up through your Collectibles page in your bag. He might also just give you the key without the box.
