Aspects are a very important mechanic to make use of in your crusade to slay all the hellish monstrosities you will be facing in Diablo 4. Aspects can change many aspects of a character and how they play.
The Sorcerer is a very versatile, long-range damage dealer, and Aspects can significantly affect how much of this damage you can output. As well as affect how survivable the character can be when faced with unexpected life-ending situations. It is wise to know which build for the class you intend to make before deciding which Aspects you will be placed on their gear.

20 Aspect Of Efficiency
Aspect of Efficiency is an extremely suitable name for what it does. This skill will make is that when you cast a basic skill, it reduces the Mana cost of the next Core Skill you use by 10 percent. This percentage can reach a maximum of 20 percent.
Getting the most from this Aspect involves mastering when to alternate between Basic and Core Skills. This Aspect is only allowed on rings, so managing which pieces of gear have the Aspects you choose will be important.
19 Aspect Of The Expectant
Aspect of the Expectant pairs very well with Aspect of Efficiency as they will trigger at the same time from the exact same process. What Aspect of the Expectant does is when you attack enemies with a Basic Skill, your next Core Skill will increase the damage it deals by 5 percent.
This percentage can reach a maximum of 30 percent. Unlike Aspect of Efficiency, this Aspect can be used with many gear pieces, and this will allow for more versatility when making your builds.
18 Mage Lord’s Aspect
Mage Lord’s Aspect will be a significant boost for anyone who uses a build that makes use of the key passive, Vyr’s Mastery. This Key Passive will have enemies taking increased damage from your Shock Skills while also dealing less damage to you. Critical strikes will increase the bonus.
This Aspect will increase the damage reduction you gain by as little as 20 percent for each enemy that is close to you. This reduction can be raised to 30 percent, with a maximum total limit of 90%.
17 Aspect Of Unwavering
Aspect of Unwavering will give you a chance to have the cooldown of your Defensive Skill reset. In order to make it trigger, you will need to first take direct damage. The right build is key here, as some builds are a lot glassier than others and will not be benefiting from this after going down too soon.
The amount of the reset can be as low as 2 percent, but is able to reach as high as 6 percent. Resetting your defensive skill will greatly boost the survivability of your character.
16 Aspect Of The Bounding Conduit
Aspect of the Bounding Conduit is a very simple Aspect, and one tailored for those that need some extra distance between them and their enemies to stay alive. What this Aspect does is grant the user a 20 percent increase to their movement whenever they have teleported.
The duration of this movement increase will last for 3 seconds. This percentage can be as high as 25 percent. This Aspect is another one to muse over which piece of gear to place it on, as you have the choice of putting it on your boots, or on an Amulet for a 50 percent increase to its power.
15 Stable Aspect
The Stable Aspect will grant you a 5 percent chance to make any of your Shock Skills cost nothing. This can be raised up to a maximum of 10 Percent. This means that when at its maximum, there is a 1 in 10 chance of getting free skills before your mana needs to be topped up.
This can increase how much DPS you can muster in a shorter frame of time. Its one drawback is that it is inactive while you have Unstable Currents in effect.
14 Aspect Of Disobedience
A Sorcerer is a glass canon, what this means is they deal a massive amount of damage, but they themselves cannot take much damage in return. This Aspect gives them more survivability by giving them a 0.25 percent increase in their armor.
The duration of this increase is 4 seconds. This effect occurs every time the Sorcerer deals any form of damage to a foe and can stack up to 25 percent. At its maximum values, the increasing percentage goes up to 0.50 percent for dealing damage and can be stacked up to a total of 50 percent.
13 Aspect of Binding Embers
Aspect of Binding Embers helps you stay alive in more than one way. Firstly, it will allow you to move unhindered by foes. This means you will never find yourself boxed in with nowhere to go, leading to a situation where you are in dire need of an escape.
Secondly, enemies you move through become immobilized, meaning they cannot maintain a strategy to swarm and surround you. Both of these effects become available whenever you activate your flame shield.
12 Elementalistis Aspect
While survivability is important, it is worth noting that the Sorcerer is more useful in dealing with damage than worrying about how much damage they receive. Let your allies worry about being on the front line and being the focus of the aggro.
Stick to the back row and just output as much DPS as possible. This Aspect will grant you a 20 percent increased chance of landing critical strikes while your mana is at, or above, 100. This maximum value can be raised to a total of 40 percent.
11 Incendiary Aspect
With the Incendiary Aspect, getting a Lucky Hit will grant you a chance to restore mana when using a Pyromancy skill — provided they dealt some damage. Each time this Lucky Hit activates from a Pyromancy skill, there will be a 12 percent chance to restore 10 of your character’s Mana — this percentage can raised as high as 17 percent.
The Incendiary Aspect can be added to your Codex of Power by completing the Tomb of the Saints dungeon, located in Kehjistan.
10 Aspect Of Piercing Cold
The Aspect of Piercing Cold will have it that whenever you use the Ice Shards skill, those Ice Shards will pierce 3 to 4 times. Each time they will deal 25 percent less damage with each subsequent enemy hit by them — this drop can be lowered to 20 percent less damage per subsequent enemy hit.
This is a brilliant Aspect for Ice Sorcerer builds and has a lot of synergy potential for both other skills and different pieces of gear. You can add this Aspect to your Codex of Power by completing Dead Man’s Dredge in the Fractured Peaks.
9 Aspect Of Cling
Aspect Of Cling will grant your Charge Bolt skill a 15 percent chance to be attracted toward your enemies. This can be raised to a maximum of 25 percent. That is an average of one in every four bolts you fire off.
In addition to this, your Charged Bolts will last 300 percent longer than they normally would. This is a great Aspect, and one you may want to have for your weapon if you are leaning heavily into a Shock Build.
8 Prodigy’s Aspect
If Shock builds are not your thing, you may want to turn your attention to this Aspect. Whenever you use a cooldown, you will get 15 mana. This means you can use your cooldown skills to fuel a single mana-consuming skill.
By alternating between the two, you can have it that you eat through your mana with your mana-consuming skill and then charge it back up with your cooldowns. This creates an ebb and flow that with the right gear can make for a very fun build.
7 Aspect of Engulfing Flames
As stated earlier, dealing optimal damage is what a Sorcerer does best, so Aspects that can stack together to keep raising this DPS limit will be imperative to making some of the best builds.
Aspect of Engulfing Flames will give you a nice 30 percent increase to all Burning Damage received by your foes while the total damage over time effect exceeds their maximum life. This can be raised to reach a maximum value of 40 percent, making for some large damage numbers.
6 Mage-Lord’s Aspect
With the Mage-Lord’s Aspect, your Vyr’s Mastery Key Passive will see the normal damage reduction you receive by an increase of 6 percent — with a maximum increase of 18 percent. This range can be increased even further for additional enemies, which can raise it all the way up to a new maximum of 27 percent.
Without this Aspect, this Key Passive will see close enemies taking increased damage from your Shock spells by 10 percent, and reduce the damage you would normally receive by 20 percent.
5 Aspect Of Frozen Memories
The Aspect of Frozen Memories will affect one of your character’s Key Passive abilities. The Key Passive in question is “Avalanche.” It will now apply 1 additional cast. Normally what this passive does is that it will take away the mana cost of your next casting of Ice Shards, Frozen Orb, or Blizzard, and make it deal an extra 40 percent damage.
This is dependent on it being a Lucky Hit, and the chance of it occurring is 10 percent — with double the chance when an enemy is Vulnerable.
4 Aspect Of Control
Just like Aspect of Engulfing Flames, Aspect of Control is something you will want to put on your weapon for its increased damage output. You will deal 30 percent more damage to any enemies that are Immobilized, Frozen, or Stunned.
This can be raised to a total value of 40 percent. This works nicely in both Ice Sorcerer Builds and Fire Sorcerer Builds and will see a higher consistent damage output than Aspect of Engulfing Flames due to many enemies having large pools of health.
3 Frostblitz Aspect
The Frostblitz aspect will make it so that whenever you get a Frost Nova out, that Frost Nova will gain an additional Charge. However, the Cooldown for each Charge is increased by 30 percent, up to 40 percent.
This Aspect is not part of your Codex of Power, meaning you will need to extract it from some Legendary Gear. This gear is randomly dropped by enemies, so it may take a while before you are able to get a build-up and running that relies on this aspect. Once you do though, it can perform extremely well.
2 Aspect Of Fortune
Critical Hits are brilliant for their increased damage, but another range-based mechanic featured in the game is Lucky Hit. Aspect Of Fortune specifically focuses on this feature of the game and will increase your Lucky Hit chance by 10 percent.
This can be further raised to reach a maximum limit of 20 percent. However, this increased percentage will only be available while you have Barrier active. A lot of your skills will involve your Lucky Hit chance, so raising the frequency of it will raise the effectiveness of having those skills in your rotation.
1 Everliving Aspect
Another great aspect for staying alive is Everliving Aspect, which will grant you a fixed percentage of damage reduction under certain conditions. Reducing the amount of damage is very important for a Sorcerer, especially when there are a lot of enemies all over the map.
How it works is that all damage you receive from any enemy that is vulnerable or is Crowd Controlled will be reduced by 20 percent. This can be increased to a maximum value of 25 percent.
