Cyberpunk 2077: How To Get The Moron Labe Assault Rifle

Assault Rifles are some of the most popular weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s easy to see why. These guns are very versatile, have good ammo capacity, deal lots of damage, and can be equipped with a wide variety of mods. Of course, not all assault rifles were created equally, and if you want the best of the best there are few better choices than the Moron Labe.

The Moron Labe is an Iconic version of the Militech M251s Ajax, a fairly powerful weapon in its own right. But although you’ll stumble across the M251s Ajax pretty much around every corner even in the early game, the Moron Labe is a lot more difficult to come by. This weapon isn’t Iconic for nothing, after all. But don’t worry because this guide explains everything you need to know about getting your hands on it.

How To Get The Moron Labe Assault Rifle

Cyberpunk 2077 Moron Labe location

Much like the Yinglong Smart SMG or the Comrade’s Hammer Tech revolver, the Moron Labe assault rifle can only be acquired by defeating a specific enemy and looting their corpse. In this particular case, the enemy in question is Anton Kolev, one of the leaders of the Scavengers gang. Anton Kolev along with his goons can be encountered during the NCPD scanner hustle Suspected Organized Crime Activity in West Wind Estate.

West Wind Estate is a sub-district of Pacifica, a section of Night City located in the southwestern portion of the map. Kolev and his gang can be found on Pacific Boulevard and will put up a good fight, but nothing you can’t handle. You’ll need to defeat all the enemies in order to finish the side quest, however, you’ll only need to take down Kolev to get your hands on the crafting spec.

Moron Labe Stats And Crafting Requirements

Cyberpunk 2077 Moron Labe crafting

The Moron Labe has fantastic stats across the board and comes with two modifiers in the form of a +85% headshot damage multiplier and +25% armor penetration. But the biggest selling point here is the special effect that gives the weapon increased critical chance every time you dismember an enemy. Depending on your aim, this effect can trigger quite often. The cherry on the cake is that the Moron Labe also comes with two mod slots, which isn’t all that common for an Iconic weapon.

Similar to some of the other great weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, the Moron Labe can only be crafted by players that have the Edgerunner artisan perk. You’ll need to spend a lot of points to reach this perk, so don’t expect to be able to craft the weapon until the mid-game, at the earliest. In addition to the perk, you’ll also need x40 Tier 5 Item Components to seal the deal.
