If you’re new to the Meta Quest 3, you will often find that the display is not easily accessible if you are in the midst of using an app. Thankfully, there is an easy workaround to get the view at your desired position.
With VR and MR experiences, you never know when your position and direction will change in the flow of things. As a result, it can become quite inconvenient if you are inside a game, and your menu is stuck totally somewhere else. While players can obviously turn to the exact position of the view and access it, it’s not feasible to do this all the time.
In fact, a number of users often rely on this method to easily reset their display to their desired location with just a few clicks. If you are struggling to recenter your view in the Meta Quest 3, here are the different methods you can use to do so.
How To Reset Your Quest 3 View
If you want to recenter your Quest 3 view, there are two methods to do so. The easiest one is to use your Touch or Touch Pro controller directly and follow the given steps:
- Point the controller to the position you want to change the view to
- Hold the Meta logo button until the view resets
While this is a really quick and easy way to do this, users have reported issues with it in the past. Sometimes, it doesn’t work inside games, so if it doesn’t work for you, don’t be worried. Thankfully, you can recenter the display manually as well. In order to do that, you can start off by opening the Menu using the Meta button and then follow the steps below:
- Go to Settings from the quick-access toolbar
- Select Quick Actions
- Press the Reset View button, which is a four-directional arrow icon.
The moment you press the Reset View button, the menu will snap to your headset, and then when you move your head, the view will move along with it. Once you are able to properly reposition the view, simply click on the Confirm button to keep your changes.
