Lies Of P is an epic Soulslike with a deep narrative and satisfying combat. Throughout your journey of battling frenzied Puppets and challenging bosses, you may find yourself with a copious amount of Ergo, which can be invested in improving your stats. However, this Ergo can also be used to trade with various Merchants in the world.
Merchants are located all throughout Lies Of P, and each offers a range of items that can be purchased with Ergo. Locating each Merchant can be a surefire way of obtaining powerful weapons, Throwables, and Abrasives – each of which can greatly benefit you if you find yourself stumped on a certain area or boss fight.
This article contains minor spoilers for Lies Of P’s story. Proceed with caution!
Cersani Alley Wandering Merchant
The very first Wandering Merchant you will come across can be found over at Cersani Alley in Chapter 1, just before your fight with the Parade Master. Visiting this merchant can benefit you greatly, as you can purchase the starting weapons you did not receive when picking your starting class at the beginning of the game.
The Cersani Alley Wandering Merchant can only be found at Cersani Alley prior to Chapter 9. Once you make it back to Cersani Alley again during Chapter 9, he will be gone.
Polendina
Though Polendina is one of the side characters of Lies Of P, he is also one of the many Merchants you can purchase items from. Poldendina can always be found at Hotel Krat, and his shop item collection can be expanded by finding Krat Supply Boxes and bringing them back to him. The Supply Boxes you can find are as follows:
- Krat Supply Box – St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel
- Sturdy Krat Supply Box – Grand Exhibition Gallery
- Special Krat Supply Box – Collapsed Street
Inside The House On Elysion Boulevard Wandering Merchant
The Wandering Merchant on Elysion Boulevard is pretty hard to miss. You will find him to the left of the Inside The House On Elysion Boulevard Stargazer during Chapter 2 – just on your way to rescue Geppetto from the Mad Donkey. The Elysion Boulevard Wandering Merchant sells the Electric Coil Stick, along with a few other goodies.
Pulcinella
Pulcinella is yet another character within Lies Of P who not only plays a key role in the game’s story but also functions as a Merchant. Pulcinella can always be found at Hotel Krat, but will only appear after you have spoken to Venigni at the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer during Chapter 3. Just like Polendina, Pulcinella’s shop item collection can be expanded by finding Venigni Collection Boxes and bringing them back to him. The Collection Boxes you can find are as follows:
- Incredible Venigni Collection – Estella Opera House
- Fancy Venigni Collection – Barren Swamp
- Great Venigni Collection – Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field
Alidoro/Hugo
Alidoro is yet another central character in Lies Of P’s story that also functions as a Merchant. Alidoro is your one-stop shop for a collection of Special Weapons and Amulets, each of which can be traded for Rare Boss Ergo (acquired by defeating bosses). Alidoro can first be found over at St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel, and you can trade with him right away after your first interaction. His locations throughout the rest of the game, however, will often change. These locations are as follows:
- St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel (before defeating Fallen Archbishop Andreus)
- Hotel Krat (or the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer should you choose to send him there during your first meeting)
- The Barren Swamp Entrance during Chapter 7 (Alidoro will head back to Hotel Krat after you defeat the Green Monster Of The Swamp)
- Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field Stargazer during Chapter 9
Alidoro will change locations once again in Chapters 9 and 10, and will move over to the Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field. If you choose to kill Alidoro at this point of the story, Hugo will find him and set up shop at Hotel Krat.
Malum District Black Market Trader
The Black Market Trader can be found over at the Red Lobster Inn within the Malum District. The Red Lobster Inn functions as a shortcut from the Malum District Stargazer to the Malum District Town Hall Stargazer, and so you will naturally come across it during Chapter 5. Unlike other Merchants, the Black Market Trader will refuse to sell you any items unless you bribe with a Vivid Ergo Fragment or a Radiant Ergo Fragment. The Black Market Trader is one of the best sources of Throwables and Abrasives, as he serves an unlimited supply of them.
Lorenzini Arcade Wandering Merchant
The Lorenzini Arcade Wandering Merchant can be found just near the Lorenzini Arcade Stargazer, but he will be inaccessible until you open up the shortcut to him. You will naturally come across the Lorenzini Arcade Wandering Merchant during Chapter 7, as he resides in the same location in which the Arcade Underground Passage Key can be found. This Wandering Merchant sells the Circular Electric Chainsaw, along with some other goodies.
Abandoned Apartment Wandering Merchant
The Abandoned Apartment Wandering Merchant is pretty hard to miss, as he can be found right by the Abandoned Apartment Stargazer – which you will come across naturally during Chapter 9. This Merchant sells the Military Shovel, along with a few other items of interest.
Test Subject 826
Test Subject 826 is a unique Merchant that many players might miss during their first playthrough. Unlike many other Merchants in the game, Test Subject 826 will not sell items outright during your first meeting, and you will have to fulfill a few prerequisites beforehand. Test Subject 826 can be found along the way from the Arche Abby Outer Wall Stargazer.
Once you reach a square chamber with a massive drop in the center, head on down to the very bottom of this section (the same area in which the Sanctum Of Riddles can be found). Here you will find an elite Human enemy, along with an elevator directly behind him that descends downwards.
Taking this elevator down will lead you to Test Subject 826, where you can converse with him. Afterward, open the door in this area using the High-level Alchemist Badge. Test Subject 826 will then set up shop over at Rosa Isabelle Street, selling the Carcass Crystal Axe and other items.
