While Assassin’s Creed Mirage promises to offer a more stealth-centric experience, it’s inevitable that you’d engage in many open combats as part of your journey. Mirage has a fine-tuned combat system that is responsive and allows you to clear out enemy groups in a short time unless, of course, you encounter armored warriors.
Armored enemies in Mirage pose a unique challenge that forces you to shift from a button-mashing warrior to a thoughtful strategist. Not only do armored enemies avoid upfront damage, but they also deplete a large portion of your health with a single blow. The following guide is designed to help you conquer armored enemies in the game with ease and finesse.

Types Of Armored Enemies
There are two primary armored enemy types in Assassin’s Creed Mirage: partial front armor and full front armor. You’ll first encounter an armored enemy with partial front armor protection, meaning their armor protects them from head to knees. Later on, you’ll encounter the second armored enemy variant, who wields a Greatsword, and their armor protects them from head to toe.
While the first armored enemy variant can be tripped with a throwing knife aimed at their unprotected feet, rendering them vulnerable to a one-hit kill, the second armored enemy variant is designed to deny the ‘knife to the knee’ technique. Instead, you’ll need to approach them tactically and attack them from their backs.
Both armored enemy variants are vulnerable to attacks from the back.
Strategies To Defeat Full Armored Enemies
The fully armored enemies wield a heavy Greatsword, which causes them to take up a long winding time before landing attacks. If you’re careful in observing their attack animations, it will enable you to identify windows of opportunities and strategically position yourself behind them. Following this, you can land a few blows before the enemy eventually turns around, forcing you to rinse and repeat the process. This approach is tedious and not fun.
On the contrary, you can rely on your tools and skills, which turns the confrontation into a fun little dance. The Counter Roll skill under the Phantom skill tree allows you to roll over these armored enemies and land behind them, which not only saves time but also makes Basim look stylish when doing so.
In addition to rolling over these enemies, you can also incorporate the sleeping darts into the mix, which, when shot at the armored enemies’ backs, instantly drop them into a deep slumber. You can then proceed to finish them off with a single attack. You can also use smoke bombs to disorient armored enemies, enabling you to land a couple of hits, and potentially neutralize them.
With the counter roll unlocked, dodge toward the enemy when they are about to land an attack to roll over them.
Additional Tips
It is crucial to remember that while armored enemies are difficult foes in open combat, they are vulnerable to stealth assassinations. If you’re not detected by guards, it’s always a wise choice to take out armored enemies first when clearing out enemy bases. When assisted by other enemies, armored enemies can quickly become a nuisance to deal with.
If you’re finding it challenging to fight armored enemies, it’s important to know that you can escape combat quite easily in the game. Using a smoke bomb gives you time to vanish from the battle and strike from the shadows like a true assassin.
Moreover, since AC Mirage is centered on stealth, it’s advisable to out armored enemies through stealth assassinations and avoid engaging them head on. These enemies are very challenging to deal with, and not only do they require a lot of time to defeat, but they can also kill you with a few hits if you aren’t careful enough.
