Besides the fast-paced hack and slash action, Ghostrunner 2 will also challenge you with mental puzzles. It does so by periodically introducing clever puzzles that require using some of Jack’s abilities to get past. Similarly, during the “Setting The Stage” level, you’ll come across an electrified gate. To pass through it, you’ll need to short-circuit three switches.
However, the catch is that trying to short-circuit each switch one at a time doesn’t work here, and the game doesn’t give you any hint whatsoever as to what you’re supposed to do. So, if you’re stuck trying to figure out the solution to this puzzle, the following guide is here to help.

Trick To Solving The Puzzle
The Cathedral Gate puzzle is encountered midway during the “Setting The Stage” level, and you’ll notice three separate blue switches connected to an electrified gate. At first, you might try throwing your shurikens at these switches only to find that they don’t deactivate the gate as you expected.
To deactivate the electrified gate, you must hit the three switches in quick succession. Almost at the same time, honestly. This is only possible when you slow down time by getting Jack airborne and holding the dash button. With the dash button held, you’ll notice time slowing down. You must use this moment to throw three shurikens at the switches to deactivate the electrified gate.
While you perform this maneuver, ensure that you’re standing near the gate, as it becomes electrified again after a few seconds.
If you’re still finding it challenging to activate the switches and disable the electrified gate, consider watching the following video guide:
There are many instances in Ghostrunner 2 where you’ll need to stop parkouring your way across the dystopian city and think about finding your next path. As you progress through the game, Jack will receive many abilities that not only elevate his ghostrunning finesse, but also allow him to solve the various puzzles he’ll encounter along the way.
Just like the Cathedral Gate puzzle, you’ll also find other instances where Jack will need to depend on his other abilities like the Shadow. This ability allows Jack to create a holographic replica of himself, enabling him to be in two places at once in order to solve a seemingly impossible puzzle.
Many of the game’s collectibles are also hidden away in this manner, demanding that you think outside the box to collect them. So, it’s advised to pay attention to your surroundings, scouting for areas of opportunity instead of giving up on a hard-to-reach collectible.
