Spider-Man 2 has players switching back and forth between Miles & Peter, both during main missions and while freely exploring the city of New York. There is only one combined level, letting you earn experience towards the same level no matter who you’re playing as.
When leveling up, players will be rewarded skill points that can then be used in one of three different skill trees: one for each Spider-Man and a combined tree for skills for both of them. Leveling up and unlocking new skills is just one of the many ways to make your Spider-Men more powerful; here’s how to level up quickly.
Updated On November 1st, 2023 By Joshua Leeds: Players will need to work just a bit to reach the max level in Spider-Man 2. While there are a few straightforward ways to level up, there are a few additional tricks to level up even faster that have been added to this article.
How To Level Up Quickly
The quickest way to level up in Spider-Man 2 is by completing main missions. These reward the highest amounts of XP and are the most efficient way of earning XP, even with their length. While there are no stats to go along with your levels, rushing the main story will quickly have you outmatched as the story progresses, as various skills and upgrades greatly help in making you stronger.
Another great way to earn XP is by completing side content, specifically crimes. While all side content rewards XP, stopping crimes offers a range of bonus XP that the player can slightly alter. When stopping a crime, look along the left side of the screen to see a bonus objective, as completing this will award the player with additional XP. Other things, such as destroying a Hunter truck or teaming up with the other Spider-Man to stop a crime, can also earn more XP, but these factors are random and not always reliable. When a Hunter truck does appear, use a powerful skill such as Symbiote punch to destroy the truck completely.
Another small but simple way to earn additional XP while you play the game is by performing tricks while swinging through the city. While swinging, and after you let go of a web, hold the square button and move the right joystick in any direction. This will begin performing a train of tricks as long as square is held down, with each trick giving 1 XP. While this is a very small amount, it’s a simple addition to swinging that won’t affect your speed and can earn players small amounts of XP for doing something they already will be doing a lot throughout the game.
What Is The Max Level
One level is shared between both Spider-Men, letting players level up and earn skill points for both of them no matter who they’re playing more of. The max level in Spider-Man 2 is 60, which will give more than enough skill points to max out all three skill trees. There are no limitations to leveling up, as the max level can theoretically be reached very early into the game by farming crimes and side quests, which will always continue to appear.
