The next major content update for Fortnite is on the horizon, and Epic Games has detailed exactly when servers will be taken offline ahead of the launch of Fortnite OG.
With each new update, Fortnite servers are taken offline for maintenance. During this time, players will be prompted to download and install the latest update. This time around, Epic is mixing things up with the release of Chapter 4: Season OG, instead of what many expected to be Chapter 4: Season 5.
Players will be taken back to Fortnite’s roots with the return of the Chapter 1 map, featuring iconic points of interest such as Tilted Towers, Risky Reels, and many more. According to various leakers within the community, fans can also expect the map to evolve each week as Fortnite rotates between previous Chapter 1 seasons.
Fans around the world are eager to jump into Fortnite OG to experience pure nostalgia, but when exactly will server downtime come to an end? Here’s everything you need to know about the release time for Fortnite OG.
What Time Does Fortnite OG Start?
According to Epic Games, server downtime for Fortnite OG will begin on Friday, November 3rd at 3AM EST. Servers are expected to remain offline for approximately 2-3 hours, which means Fortnite OG will start at 6AM EST on November 3rd.
However, it is worth noting that Fortnite’s server downtime often varies from update to update. This means the game’s servers may be offline for longer than 3 hours, should any issues arise during the maintenance. Players will also be required to download and install the latest update, details of which can be found in the official patch notes further down this article.
