Alan Wake 2 has tons of collectibles and items of interest that players can find around the map if they’re thorough in their exploration. Among them are Nursery Rhymes, meant to be solved using clothespin dolls Saga finds along her journey.
Players will first come across the Watery Radio Tower Nursery Rhyme as they’re making their way up to Coffee World looking for the keys to Saga’s trailer. The earliest you can find it is in Return 3 – Local Girl. Here is how to solve it.

Radio Tower Nursery Rhyme Solution
After passing through the Break Room on your trek up to Coffee World, you’ll come across a fenced-off Radio Station on top of a hill. While facing the Radio Station, turn back the way you came and look for a small rock formation in the area. The Nursery Rhyme is on its other side (marked on the map).
The Rhyme goes
Three little Deers ventured to roam
And found a nice place to eat and play
One little Deer never came home
And two of the Deers cried all day.
Only one piece is needed to solve this Rhyme: The Deer Doll. The one little Deer is represented by the Deer Doll, and the “never came home” part tells players to place the Deer on the drawing of the house at the bottom left. You can find the Deer doll at the location of the Watery Shortcut Nursery Rhyme, which you should have encountered on the way up to the Radio Tower. If you’ve missed it, the location of the Deer Doll is shown in the screenshot below.
With the Deer Doll in hand, interact with the Nursery Rhyme and place the Deer Doll on the drawing of the House to solve the Rhyme. The screen will show a glitching effect to show solving the Rhyme was successful.
Remember to pick up the doll before heading out.
To find the reward for solving the Rhyme, turn back towards the Radio Tower. You’ll see a deer rushing across the screen and towards the tower. Follow the Deer, and you’ll encounter two wolves in your way.
Defeat the wolves and make your way to the Radio Tower. In the shadow of the tower, you’ll find the corpse of a deer, presumably mauled by the wolves. The reward for clearing this puzzle—the Deer Charm—can be picked up from the Deer’s corpse. Equipping this charm gives Saga increased resistance to being staggered by enemy attacks, making her less likely to fall on the ground.
Here is a video showing the process of solving the Rhyme and getting the charm.
