Lies Of P gives players quite a lot of freedom when it comes to combat. Throughout your time playing this steampunk Soulslike, you will expect to acquire a series of items and weapons, each of which has its own drawbacks and advantages. Players who are going into Lies Of P can expect to adapt their character to fit their own playstyle, which is great for those looking to create a Dexterity-focused build.
A Dexterity build typically aims to allow players to stay nimble and quick, thus supporting a faster style of gameplay that has an emphasis on dodging and strafing. In Lies Of P, although Dexterity is not a Stat or scaling in itself, the principles of games like Elden Ring still remain the same. Our Dexterity build aims to keep the player’s Weight low, whilst also incorporating weapons that support a faster-paced playstyle.

Best Weapons
The best weapon for a Dexterity build in Lies Of P is undoubtedly the Two Dragon’s Sword. The Two Dragon’s Sword comes with a D scaling in Motivity and an A scaling in Technique – which makes sense as Technique is essentially Dexterity in Lies Of P. The Two Dragon’s Sword offers a unique move set that allows you to strafe around enemies whilst attacking simultaneously – thus tying into the agile move set associated with Dexterity builds. The Heavy Attack also allows you to Parry an enemy’s attack when timed correctly, thus adding to the usefulness of this weapon.
If you are looking for other weapon suggestions, then there are a few Special Weapons and weapon combinations you can consider. From the Booster Glaive Blade to the Puppet Ripper, here are some of the best Dexterity weapon suggestions you can consider:

Salamander Dagger Blade/Acidic Crystal Spear Head + Acidic Crystal Spear Handle |

Bone-Cutting Saw Blade + Dancer’s Curved Sword Handle/Puppet’s Saber Handle |

Legion Arms
While you may want to switch between different Legion Arms depending on the type of enemies you are encountering, there are two notable Legion Arms that are great for a Dexterity-focused build. The first is the Puppet String. The Puppet String is a nifty Legion Arm that can pull human-sized enemies to your location, thus proving great for the shorter reach of Technique-focused weapons. However, you can upgrade the Legion Arm to support dodging, or even utilize Trace to pull yourself towards enemies – followed by a devastating attack if you have unlocked Attack Link.
The Aegis is the second Legion Arm to consider, and rightfully so. Though this option is on the heavier side, it will come in handy for blocking incoming attacks whilst simultaneously dealing damage. Weapons that have a higher Technique scaling tend to have a lower Damage Reduction Rate whilst Guarding, making unsuccessful Perfect Guards more detrimental than heavier Motivity-scaled weapons. The Aegis Legion Arm essentially makes up for this drawback.
Stats
The stats you will want to focus on for a Dexterity build are Vitality, Vigor, and Technique. Technique is pretty self-explanatory, as the majority of the weapons you will want to use for a Dexterity build are Technique scaling weapons. Vitality and Vigor, on the other hand, work hand in hand with the fast playstyle you are going for.
Vitality controls both your health and your Guard Regain. The higher it is, the higher your health, and the more health you can regain after taking a hit while Guarding. Vigor, however, controls your Stamina. With a Dexterity-focused build, remaining nimble is pretty important, so naturally you will want a high amount of Stamina.
With the soft caps introduced in Lies Of P, try to aim for a level range of about 30-35 for Technique, levels 30-35 for Vitality, and levels 15-25 for Vigor. This will serve you well in your first playthrough, though you may want to level up drastically higher for New Game+ and New Game ++.
Amulets & Defensive Parts
When it comes to Amulets, you have quite a few options to consider. To keep your Stamina high then consider either the Leaping Amulet, the Patience Amulet, or the Blue Guardianship Amulet. The Technique Amulet will also serve you well, for it will increase the damage of Technique-scaled weapons. The Red Fox’s Amulet is also a good choice for weapons that dual-scale in both Motivity and Technique.
For your Defensive Parts, you also have quite a bit of freedom, but you will want to avoid items that bear a lot of weight. The Workshop Union Lightweight Frame, the Workshop Union Standard Insulation Converter, and the Belford Shock Cartridge are all useful items to consider. However, the defaults are just fine, especially when considering that you will want to remain below 50% Weight Capacity.
