Diablo 4 has some amazing features that truly allow players to create their characters their own. Whether you’re following someone else’s build for your Class or you have created your own, you still can create something unique with your character.
One thing that Diablo 4 allows you to do is to add Aspects to your equipment. These Aspects are modifiers that allow you to turn your Rare items into Legendary items. They add the Legendary qualifiers to these items and can be extremely useful for players who want to become the best that they can be. If you need some tips for Rogues, this guide will help you find out which Aspects to use based on late-game viability.
Updated by Abigail Angell on November 10th, 2023: Season of Blood has introduced several balancing changes, as well as rekindling interest in the game for many players. To help players make the most of each equipment slot, we’ve updated this list to reflect any buffs or nerfs, as well as reformatting the entries for readability.

Accelerating Aspect
Critical Strikes Increase Attack Speed
Accelerating Aspect is an Offensive Aspect available to Rogues that want more Attack Speed. What makes this so good is that the faster you attack, the more damage you will do. This is especially true for builds such as the Flurry Rogue.
Effect |
Critical Strikes with Core Skills increase your Attack Speed by [15-25]% for 5 seconds. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
Unfortunately, while this is a great Aspect, it doesn’t have a Codex of Power. This means that it can be pretty challenging to find and use. The only way to get the Aspect is by finding an item with it already imbued and extracting it.
29
Vengeful Aspect
Critical Strike More Often When Enemies Are Vulnerable
The Vengeful Aspect is a pretty great Aspect for Rogues. What makes this great is that many Rogue abilities have a large bonus to damage for Critical Strikes, and thus Critically Striking more will massively increase your damage output. Additionally, causing the Vulnerable status effect is key for the late-game builds due to the high health pools of enemies, so you’ll continue to get plenty of use out of this Aspect.
Effect |
Lucky Hit: Making an enemy Vulnerable has up to a [30-50%] chance to grant +3% increased Critical Strike Chance for 3 seconds, up to +9%. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
You can find the Aspect’s Codex of Power in the Inferno Dungeon in the Kehjistan region. You can also find items that already have the Aspect imbued and extract them from the items that way. Then you can put it on any weapon you want.
28
Toxic Alchemist’s Aspect
Dealing Shadow Damage to Poisoned Enemies Causes Explosions
The Toxic Alchemist’s Aspect is another good option for Rogues wanting an Offensive Aspect. This is great since a lot of builds use poisons, and prioritize buffing their poison damage. Additionally, several of the Shadow skills are very useful to have in your arsenal, such as Death Trap – which has its own late-game build.
Effect |
Lucky Hit: Damaging a Poisoned enemy with a Shadow Imbued Skill has up to a 75% chance to create a toxic explosion that applies [X] Poisoning damage over 5 seconds to the target and surrounding enemies. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
This Aspect, unfortunately, does not have a Code of Power located anywhere. This means that you’ll have to work hard to find an item that has the Aspect already imbued on it. If it does, you can extract it and imbue it on another item.
27
Aspect Of The Protector
Gain Barrier Whenever You Damage An Elite
The Aspect of the Protector is the first Defensive Aspect for Rogues on this list. What makes this great is that Rogues struggle to stay healthy in higher World Tiers, where enemies have punishing attacks. One mistake could result in death due to your low health pool and armor. If you’re in a difficult battle, a barrier could be a lifesaver.
Effect |
Damaging an Elite enemy grants you a Barrier absorbing up to [X] damage for 10 seconds. This effect can only happen once every 30 seconds. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Defensive |
Gear Slot |
Amulet, Chest Piece, Helm, Pants, Shield |
If you want to find this Aspect, you will need to work for it. It is found in the Lost Archives dungeon, located in the Fractured Peaks area of the map. You can also find an item with it already imbued and extract it from that, which is likely to have a better roll of the Aspect.
26
Aspect Of Disobedience
Dealing Damage Temporarily Increases Your Armor
The Aspect of Disobedience is another great Defensive Aspect for Rogues. The importance of this is obvious. If you do any type of damage, you will increase your Armor and that can stack. This can help make up for Rogues not having the best armor in the game.
Effect |
You gain [0.25 – 0.50]%[x] increased Armor for 4 seconds when you deal any form of damage, stacking up to [15.00 – 30.00]%[x]. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Defensive |
Gear Slot |
Amulet, Chest Piece, Helm, Pants, Shield |
If you want this Aspect, you will need to head to the Halls of the Damned. This dungeon is found in the Scouring Sands within the Kehjistan region of the map. You can also find items with the Aspect and extract it from them.
25
Aspect Of Siphoned Victuals
Vulnerable Enemies Drop Potions When You Attack Them
The Aspect of Siphoned Victuals is another great Defensive addition to your arsenal. This can be super useful during longer fights, such as World Bosses or End-game Bosses. Having a way to refresh your potions mid-combat can help you offset the squishiness of the Rogue. Every Rogue build will have a way to cause Vulnerability, and Core Skills are the ones you’ll use most. Therefore, this should be activated fairly often.
Effect |
Lucky Hit: Damaging a Vulnerable enemy with a Core Skill has up to a [10-20]% chance to drop a Healing Potion. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Defensive |
Gear Slot |
Amulet, Chest Piece, Helm, Pants, Shield |
This Aspect is another found in the Codex of Power. You’ll want to make your way to Leviathan’s Maw, a dungeon located within the Toxic Fens in Hawezar. You can also find items with it and extract it that way.
24
Energizing Aspect
Gain More Energy When Fighting Elites
The Energizing Aspect is a Resource Aspect that can be beneficial to Rogues. Rogues rely on Energy to be able to use their most impactful Skills, so any way to generate more is going to boost your damage output. As you’ll frequently fight Elites at higher World Tiers, you should also have plenty of opportunity to benefit from this Aspect.
Effect |
Damaging an Elite enemy with a Basic Skill generates [3 – 7] Energy. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Resource |
Gear Slot |
Rings |
This Aspect has a Codex of Power. It can be found in the Sanguine Chapel dungeon within the Seat of the Heavens area of the Fractured Peaks. You can also find items with the Aspect and extract them that way.
23
Aspect Of Inner Calm
Deal More Damage While Standing Still
The Aspect of Inner Calm is another great option for Rogues in terms of Offensive Aspects if they have the gumption. This is amazing, since its damage increase is so large. However, you’ll need to stand still if you’re to get the maximum benefit, which is something that can be tricky to do in the late game. All in all, high risk, high reward.
Effect |
Deal [5.0-10]%[x] increased damage for each second you stand still, up to 30%[x]. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
This Aspect can be found in the Raethwind Wilds Dungeon in the Scosglen region of the game. It can also be found on items that already have the Aspect and extracted from them. This allows you to add them to any item you want.
22
Aspect of Audacity
Stun Groups That Get Too Close
This Aspect was added post-release and is available for all classes. This is so great because if you get overrun by enemies, you can reposition while they are stunned. Alternatively, you can attack while they are helpless. This can be doubly useful if you have abilities that deal more damage to crowd-controlled targets.
Effect |
When there are at least 5 Close enemies, Stun them for [2-4] seconds. This can only occur once every 20 seconds. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Utility |
Gear Slot |
Helm, Chest Armor, Gloves, Boots, Shields, Amulet |
This Aspect is special. It was added in Season 1 of the game, meaning it wasn’t there at the start of the game. In order to obtain this specific Aspect, you will need to progress through the Season Journey with a character or find it on a dropped item.
21
Rapid Aspect
All Basic Abilities Gain Attack Speed
The Rapid Aspect is a basic Offensive Aspect for Rogues that is actually pretty great. This means that any Basic Skills you use (which will be a lot) will have an increase in Attack Speed. The primary function of Basic Skills is to generate Energy to power your other skills, so being able to use them faster will mean more Energy. More Energy means more frequent high-damage attacks, and more damage overall.
Effect |
Basic Skills gain [15-30%] Attack Speed. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
This Aspect is found in the Buried Halls Dungeon, which can be found in the Dry Steppes area of the map. You can also find items with this Aspect already imbued, and you can extract it to put it on the item of your choice.
20
Aspect Of Imitated Imbuement
Your Shadow Clone Gains Increased Damage
The Aspect of Imitated Imbuement is another Aspect that is a great Offensive option for Rogues if your build uses the Shadow Clone. While this won’t be the majority of builds, many of the Speed Farming builds for Nightmare Dungeons utilize the Shadow Clone ability, such as the Flurry Rapid Fire Rogue, and the Immortal Rogue.
Effect |
Your Shadow Clones also mimic the Imbuements applied to your Skills. Casting an Imbuement Skill grants your active Shadow Clone [8-16]%[x] increased damage for 5 seconds. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
Unfortunately, this Aspect can only be found and extracted from other items.
19
Aspect Of Branching Volleys
Barrage Can Split Into More Arrows on Each Ricochet
This is another Offensive Aspect for Rogues. Basically, anytime you use the Skill Barrage, there is a chance your arrow will split and cause even more damage. Because Barrage normally excels when it bounces the highest number of times, more arrows are always a great addition to the skill. Additionally, some Rogues use Barrage as their Core Skill of choice, such as the Stealth Bomber Build. However, this can’t go higher on the list because the other Core Skills are more popular.
Effect |
Barrage’s arrows have a [15-25]% chance of splitting into 2 arrows whenever they ricochet. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
This is such a great Aspect since Barrage is another skill a lot of Rogues use. It allows you to do more damage with the Skill. You can find this Aspect in the Shadowed Plunge in Hawezar. You can also extract it from other items.
18
Pestilent Points
Add Poison Imbuement To Puncture
This is yet another Offensive Aspect that is amazing for Rogues. What makes this so great is that Puncture is one of the better skills for the Rogue, and is very frequently used in high-tier builds. Then, you can use the fact that Puncture now sometimes deals poison damage to take advantage of synergies between abilities (such as also having the Toxic Alchemist’s Aspect equipped).
Effect |
Every third cast of Puncture is Poison Imbued with 100-150% of normal potency. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
This is another Aspect that was addedToson 1 of the game. In order to obtain this Aspect, like the one before it, you must progress through the Season Journey with a character, or find it on an item. Eventually, you will be able to unlock this.
17
Infiltrator’s Aspect
Using Poison Trap No Longer Breaks Stealth
This is an Offensive Aspect that is ideal for Rogues that use the Skill Poison Trap. A large majority of Rogues use Poison Traps as a way to hit multiple enemies at once. This will allow you to lay more Traps in a shorter amount of time, potentially dealing large amounts of damage to nearby enemies. This Aspect is at its’ most effective in PvP areas and in Boss Killing Builds.
Effect |
Poison Trap no longer breaks Stealth and triggers no Cooldown or arm time while you are in Stealth. All Poison Traps activate when you exit Stealth and Poison Trap’s Cooldown will be [5.0 – 8.0] seconds per trap placed. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
You can find this Aspect on other items and extract it. However, there is no Codex of Power for the Aspect.
16
Aspect Of Arrow Storm
Marksman Skills Sometimes Create Clouds of Damaging Arrows
This Aspect is a great one for Rogues who use their bows often. This means that any Marksman Skill you use can create an arrow storm, which is a cloud of damage that stays stationary over a location. The damage in these Arrow Storms scales well, although it may be difficult to trigger them reliably unless you max your Lucky Strike Chance.
Effect |
Lucky Hit: Your Marksman Skills have up to a 10% chance of creating an arrow storm at the target’s present location, dealing [X]% Physical damage over 3 seconds. You can have up to 5 active arrow storms. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
Keep in mind that this Aspect is best used with several Marksman skills in rotation. The most popular of these include Heartseeker and Rapid Fire. You can find the Aspect at the Howling Warren in Scosglen. It can also be extracted from items.
15
Ravenous Aspect
Increased Energy Regeneration After Killing An Enemy
The Ravenous Aspect is a great Aspect for early-level Rogues. This is one of the best Aspects for those following a leveling guide for the Rogue. This is because many options for generating energy come with Paragon Boards, and are thus only available later on in your build. Having an easy way to regenerate your Primary Resource is not only rarer in the early game, but the scaling of how much you regenerate is better on this Aspect at lower levels.
Effect |
Killing a Vulnerable enemy grants you (XX)% increased Energy Regeneration for 4 seconds. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Resource |
Gear Slot |
Rings |
The Codex of Power for this is found in the Shifting City in the Dry Steppes or from an item with it.
14
Aspect Of Quickening Fog
Dashing Drops A Smoke Grenade
This is another great Aspect for Rogues. This is a great Aspect for those following the Penetrating Shot build due to their reliance on mobility to pump their damage numbers. Even if you’re simply running Dash without it being a core part of the build, this Aspect is a great choice because mobility will help you avoid enemy attacks that are frequently able to one-shot your character.
Effect |
You automatically drop a Smoke Grenade at the end of Dash. Dash’s Cooldown is reduced by [0.25-0.35] seconds for each enemy this way, up to [0.75- 1.05] seconds. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
Dashing will cause a Smoke Grenade to appear, allowing you more opportunities to escape. This is a great Aspect to have if you find yourself needing to escape or dodge a lot. The only way to obtain this Aspect is by extracting it from another Legendary Item.
13
Trickster’s Aspect
Caltrops Now Stuns Enemies
The Trickster’s Aspect is one of the Offensive Aspects that benefits trap builds. While in use, The Caltrops will do more damage and stun enemies. Once the enemy is stunned, you can take advantage of higher damage against crowd-controlled enemies, set up further traps, or reposition yourself.
Effect |
Caltrops also throw a cluster of Stun Grenades that explode and deal [X] total Physical damage and Stunning enemies for 0.50 seconds. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
You can find this Aspect when you complete the Guulrahn Canals dungeon. You can also obtain an item with this Aspect that can be extracted.
12
Aspect Of The Expectant
Using Basic Skills Increases Core Skill Damage
This Aspect is great for Rogues following any build. What makes this Aspect so amazing is that you will use Basic Skills a ton. Using them will increase the damage done by your next Core Skill, which you will also use a lot. It is a way to add some damage to your build, especially if you’re struggling in extended fights.
Effect |
Attacking enemies with a Basic Skill increases the damage of your next Core Skill cast by [5-10]% up to 30%. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
You can obtain this Aspect in the Underroot Dungeon in Scosglen or by extracting it from an item that already has it.
11
Edgemaster’s Aspect
Front-Load Substantial Burst Damage
Some players have found that this Aspect is great while playing as a Twisting Blades Rogue. This can be super helpful if used properly. To make the best use of the skill, focus on burst damage by activating your highest damage abilities at the beginning of your rotation, when you’ll have the most Energy, as this is the Rogue’s Primary Resource.
Effect |
Skills deal up to [10- 20%] increased damage based on your available Primary Resource when cast, receiving the maximum benefit while you have full Primary Resource. |
---|---|
Aspect Type |
Offensive |
Gear Slot |
1H Weapons, 2H Weapons, Amulets, Gloves, and Rings |
This can be obtained by completing the Oldstones Dungeon in Scosglen. You can also find items with this Aspect and extract it with the Occultist.
