IV terms for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet – How are my Pokémon judged?

While the Judge function won’t show you a specific number, they will “judge” each of your Pokémon’s IVs from No Good to Best. The perfect IV is 31. This means that a Pokémon with an HP IV of 31 will always have more HP than a Pokémon with an HP IV of 24 of the same species and same level.

Here’s a quick table to help:

Appraisal IV Range
Best 31
Fantastic 30
Very Good 26 to 29
Pretty Good 16 to 25
Decent 1 to 15
No Good 0

If you’re not satisfied with your Pokémon’s IVs, you can breed high IV Pokémon to produce a high-IV. Or, you can simply go to Montenevera and Hyper Train your Pokémon. Hyper Training is especially crucial to clearing The Indigo Disk DLC content!
