Getting the Hunting Rifle in Alan Wake 2 is one such task where you have to find a broken door knob and the password of the security computer before you get your hands on the powerful weapon.

How To Get Wellness Center Security Computer Password

The Hunting Rifle is located in the Workshop of the Wellness Center. You will find the location while looking for Tor in the Wellness Center in Return Chapter 5: Old Gods Mission. However, the door at the workshop’s entrance is protected by an electric lock. The lock has to be unlocked from the security room’s computer near the workshop.

You will need the password of the security computer to open the door. Inside the room, you will notice that Blum has written several notes about the day after the New Moon in August. If you look at the calendar on the wall, you will see that the 16th of August 2023 is marked as the day of the New Moon, which makes the 17th of August the date that Blum was talking about.

This is the hint you were looking for: the password that opens the computer. 17th August, 2003, in British format is written as 17/08/2003. So, if you enter the password 17082003, the doors will be unlocked.

How To Find Broken Door Knob In Wellness Center

The door knob is so small that it can be hard to find if you are not looking very closely. We struggled a bit while looking for it as well. However, after discovering the riddle, we finally found the door knob. If you browse the emails on the computer, you will find hints about the broken door knob and its location. The riddle reads:

“I’m a little doorknob that’s out of place,

But solve these clues and you can trace

The way to your private space!

I meet you at the greet,

Inside a bright glassy cage,

Where pretty flowers bloom.”

Following the riddle, the broken door knob can be found in a box under the Reception Desk in the Staff Room. So, head toward the reception desk and look carefully. You will find the doorknob there.

How To Get The Hunting Rifle

Once you have the door knob from the box underneath, take it and place it. You will then be able to enter the warehouse. Inside the warehouse, you will find a gun cabinet on the wall with the Hunting Rifle inside.

The Hunting Rifle excels in long and mid-range shots. It can deal quite a significant amount of damage to the enemies. However, the biggest downside of the weapon is that it takes up quite a lot of inventory space.
