Alan Wake 2 has a lot of different features for its players to really sink their teeth into. It excels at creating a very creepy atmospheric experience with its lighting, gripping sounds, and an array of nightmare-fuel monsters that will have players quaking in their boots. Not everything is horror with the game, as players will be pulled in by the very ominous vibes of thevarious locations and collectibles spread throughout them — such as Nursery Rhymes.
Nursery Rhymes are a form of collectible that appear in the guise of a puzzle for one of the game’s two playable protagonists, Saga Anderson. You will find various notes in the game containing these Nursery Rhymes, and upon completing them, you will be given a reward. Completing every one of these Nursery Rhymes will net you the “Shift in Reality” trophy. This guide will focus on where to find, and how to solve, the Witchfinder’s Station Nursery Rhyme puzzle.

Nursery Rhyme Puzzle – Location & Solution
Throughout the game, you will switch between characters and make lots of manual saves before tackling a difficult task. At other times, you will be able to take a moment to solve a puzzle at your own pace without some nightmarish creature stalking you. Open up your map and locate US12. To the northeast of it, you will find Witchfinder’s Station. Outside this cabin will be some chalk drawings on the ground. Look to the middle of these drawings to find a note that reads:
“The Hero Brave and strong left home to right or wrong. From the woods came the Wolf so greedy and hungry. That he ate what he found in the house without a host. The Hero returned to find she’d lost the thing she loved most.”
Turn to the right to see the cabin, and go through the front door. Head up the stairs and all the way up to the top floor and look to your right to see a baby pen. Look even more to the right, and you will see a figurine sitting on top of a box — this will be the Wolf Doll. You will also be able to find another figurine to the left of the Wolf Doll lying on the floor — this will be the Hero Doll. Head back down the stairs and outside the cabin to the chalk drawings.
Interact with the drawing and place the Wolf Doll on the chalk drawing of the tree, and place the Hero Doll on the chalk drawing of the sailboat. Look forward, above the chalk drawings, to see a trail of wolf footprints on the ground, heading up into the house. Make your way up to the stairs, following the tracks that will go through the door of the cabin. Keep following the tracks, and they will lead you back up the stairs and into the baby pen. Examine inside the baby pen, and you will find a bracelet charm.
Coffee Mug Charm Reward
The Charm you will get for completing this Nursery Rhyme will be the Coffee Mug Charm. This charm will grant you an extremely useful ability: saving you from death. However, it will shatter in the process of using this ability. It is recommended that you do not equip this charm until you find a part of the game you are struggling with and feel that this charm will be needed to help you clear said part.
