Collectibles add another level of exploration to games by giving players a reason to look about their surroundings beyond where a quest indicator may be directing them. This can give players the opportunity to take in and enjoy many different parts of the game they would otherwise pass over.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage features many different collectibles, including Dervis’ Artifacts, Lost Books, and Mysterious Shards. However, something players should be on the hunt for at all times are the various Gear Chests they may come by.

Head inside the Monastery of the Virgins and face towards the northern wall. Use your Eagle Vision to highlight the chest. To the right of this chest will be an open door that you can run through. Once you pass through it into the room on the other side, look to your right to see a bookcase. You can slide this bookcase out of the way to reveal a door frame. Head inside the room on the other side and you will find the Gear Chest to your right. |

Stand on the road to the west of The Great Garrison. You would see the entrance in front of you with a large gate. Run to the east, and you will see two blue banners with yellow circles on them that you can run between. Turn to the left as you enter and you will see another blue banner. Pass its right side and climb up the first crate, and you will see a small gap you can climb through. Go forward until you fall into some grass. To your right will be some wooden stairs you can run up to find a ladder. Climb this ladder to the top and then take the path on the right side. On the far end, you will see a door above some steps. Do not go through this door. Rather, look to the right of the door, and you will see a wooden beam you can run along and jump to swing on a pole just beyond it. Follow this path of wooden beams and poles until you perform a leap of faith into some hay below. Go around the corner on the left side of this hay and up to the crates at the end of the path — you will see a hiding spot here. Take the path on the left side of this hiding spot, and you will see a ladder. Climb up this ladder and turn left to see a door at the end of some steps going upwards. Go onto the room and opposite the door will be some shelves you can slide to the side to reveal a small hole on the ground you can crouch through — inside this room will be the Gear Chest. |

Look at your map for “Tax Collector’s Mansion” and then position yourself on the first “o” facing north. Head straight and climb to the top of the mansion ahead of you. On this roof will be two benches on either side of the ledge facing where you came from — to the right will be a large pot. Hang from the ledge where this pot is, over the east side of the wall. You can drop to a balcony just below this ledge and open the door on it to enter the room with the Gear Chest. |

From the east side of the Officer’s Club, you will see two large staircases facing towards one another next to the stream. You will see two red banners with yellow circles above these stairs. Make your way through these banners and look to your left. Use Eagle Vision and the chest will become highlighted. |

Head to Qasr Salih, and stand at the top of the highest roof near the “Q” on the map. You will see a square in the center of this roof that you can break with a fire pot. Turn to face northeast and look over the ledge. You will see a ladder you can use to get to the lower level. On this level will be some fire pots. Pick one of them up and head west. You will find some crates stacked up that you can use to get back onto the roof you came from. Use the fire pot on the square in the middle of the roof to break it open and drop into the room it leads to. Inside this room with be the Gear Chest. |

To the southwest of Colorman’s Quarter will be The Bazaar. While traveling southwest you will come to a large entrance, but stick to the right side and climb up the crates as you enter it. Run along the tarps until you get to the third one and climb up the wall on your right side. Turn left, and you will be able to jump to a brown tarp. From this tarp, jump to the green tarp opposite it. Walk along the rope to the other building and turn to face the east to see a switch you can hit with a throwing knife. Backtrack to the brown tarp and get back onto the ledge. Head northwest and you will be able to open the door on the far end. Use your Eagle Vision to highlight the Gear Chest in this room. |
