Conducting an investigation in a Video Game can be a great way to get a player really invested in the task at hand. It gives them a sense of investment while still being far enough away from the answer that they want to dig deeper.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage features plenty of cases to look into and a lot of them are unique, captivating little stories. Some of these stories will leave a long-lasting impact on players that will let them think back to their time enjoying the game.
Find Arib’s Letters
You will need to find the poet known as Arib. Anyone of such renown would reside within the walls of the Round City. From the southern entrance to the Round City, face towards the Palace of the Green Dome and use Enkidu. You will see a large green square tarp on the roves. To the left of it will be some red carpets. North of these red carpets is a tree and more north will be a door — here is where you will be heading. Interact with the door to overhear some arguing taking place inside. Basim will not be able to sweet talk the patron, and have the door slammed in his face — but not before getting useful information about where to head next.
The quest marker will now be placed at the Postal Bureau. You will need to get into the Postal Bureau to find Arib’s letters, but there are many different possible ways to accomplish this. The best way to get inside will be to stay unseen and to gain access from a higher floor. Make your way into the Postal Bureau from the southern entrance. Run forward and underneath the large archway, take a left turn, and head north — here you will find two smaller archways. After going under the small archway on the right, look east, and you will see some barrels stacked on top of other various goods.
At the top of these goods will be a hook you can swing on. Use your Eagle Vision and look up to see a guard staring out the window — he is not alone. Wait until nobody is watching and then assassinate him from the window. Wait for the guard on the left to start his walk away from the window and follow him. He will stop at another guard, you can use some red powder to stun them both and then assassinate them. You will see an open door where the second guard was standing — head through this door. Turn to the right and walk forward until you see a ledge with a ladder.
Go down the ladder and keep close to the east wall while heading south. There will be a guard around the corner for you to assassinate. Look over the railings and you will see some more guards. Watch them until they are standing side by side. One of the guards will then turn around and begin his walk back. This is your opportunity to assassinate the guard who is standing still and then quickly take out the other guard who walked away before they turn back around.
Head west and take the first left. Keep watching the wall to the west until you come to a door frame. Turn right at this door frame. There is another guard stationed here, so sneak up on them from behind and assassinate him. You will find many letters in this area, all scattered around. You can use your Eagle Vision to highlight them all and go through them.
Following The Mice
Once you have read through all the letters, your objective will change to “Attend Arib’s Recital.” Leave the area and head for the quest marker. Before you enter the area, make sure you have everything you need for a fight, as you will need to defeat three guards without the element of surprise. Take a seat at the quest marker once you are prepared — this will trigger a cutscene. When the cutscene ends, the fight will begin. Afterward, head west, and you will see a large pile of flowers.
Just past them will be a symbol of a mouse drawn on the wall. To the left of the mouse will be some steps you can walk up. Use your Eagle Vision and walk forward. You should see another image of a mouse highlighted in orange. Turn left to look where it is pointing and you will see another mouse. Go toward this mouse and turn right. Use your Eagle Vision again to see another highlighted mouse. Take a right at this mouse and then go up the stairs to the west. Go straight and you will come to a highlighted donkey.
Interact with the donkey to make it move out of the way and reveal another mouse drawing. Go left and through the series of large archways. Take a left as you leave the archways and then a right when you come to split in the path. Use Eagle Vision to find another mouse next to a window that you can interact with. This will trigger a cutscene and bring this case to a close.
