While Leavanny isn’t everyone’s first choice when it comes to bug Pokémon (my personal favorite is Heracross), they’re still a good ‘mon to have in any game. If you’re looking to optimize your Sewaddle, Swadloon, and Leavanny build in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, this is the guide for you. Here’s the best nature you should be seeking.

What is the best nature for Sewaddle, Swadloon, and Leavanny in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

The best natures for Sewaddle, Swadloon, and Leavanny in Pokémon Scarlet are Violet are the following:

  • Adamant (+Attack,  -Special Attack)
  • Modest (+Special Attack, -Attack)
  • Jolly (+Speed, -Special Attack)
  • Timid (+Speed, -Attack)

The Sewaddle evolution line is one of the most balanced ones in the game, unlike, say, Yanma and Yanmega. This means that its stats are distributed equally. While there are natures that do not boost or lessen any stat, such as Hardy and Quirky, it’s also always to take the boost. For example, in the case of Leavanny, Hardy might be a safe option, but you’ll be missing out on the 10% growth you can get from an ideal nature.

Choose whether you want your Leavanny to specialize in special attacks or physical attacks. Then, go ahead and sacrifice whatever you don’t choose.

How to choose the best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Choosing the best Pokémon nature, especially in Scarlet & Violet, where Raids are a thing, isn’t easy. For most Pokémon, I highly recommend you review a Pokémon’s move list and see which ones you want them to learn. Focus on either Sp. Atk. or Attack and sacrifice the other.
