Bobby Kotick re-elected to Activision’s board of directors

Every industry has its heroes-and, of course, its villains. For years, one of the most hated faces of the game industry has been Bobby Kotick. When Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Activision, gamers finally perked up: they thought the manager would finally be fired from the big-name corporation. It wasn’t to be.

As it became known, Kotik. re-elected to the Activision Blizzard board of directors. Fortunately, he will only be in his position for a year, after which there will be a new vote – although this is hardly comforting to his “fans”.

Recall that the merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will close around the same time, at the end of June 2023. The deal is valued at $68.7 billion.
