Today marks the beginning of the second week of Clash Royale’s new season, which introduced Little Prince as a brand-new Champion Card. The new event shifts focus from Little Prince to a new Elixir production system, which is, of course, only a change for this specific event.

With the new system, the automatic Elixir production becomes quite slow, while players get some Elixir Barrels that spawn on their side, taking the role of Elixir Production for them at a different pace than normal. This is quite an interesting change because if you attempt to destroy the opponent’s Elixir Barrel, you will gain 4 Elixirs at once, which is a huge advantage.

Before talking about our suggested decks, let’s have a talk about some of the pro-tricks of the event. The Elixir Barrels that we talked about earlier lose health over time, similar to all the other structures in the game. Now, if you manage to destroy the opponent’s Elixir Barrel when it’s on the verge of collapsing automatically, you will gain 4 Elixir points. Usually, the most efficient way to destroy it is using The Log. You will spend 2 Elixirs to gain 4 Elixirs, which is still a huge profit. However, finding the right timing with The Log could be quite difficult, and sometimes you have to save your Log for potential Goblin Barrel attacks.

As a result, the Arrows card is a much safer option to use in this case, especially when two Elixir Barrels are next to each other. If you target them all together, you will gain 8 Elixirs, which is a massive advantage in the Double Elixir phase.

Deck 1:

  • Electro Wizard (Elixir 4)
  • Golden Knight (Elixir 4)
  • Magic Archer (Elixir 4)
  • Princess (Elixir 3)
  • The Log (Elixir 2)
  • Valkyrie (Elixir 4)
  • Bats (Elixir 2)
  • Tesla Tower (Elixir 4)
  • Average Elixir Cost: 3.4

Deck 2:

  • Sparky (Elixir 6)
  • Skeleton Army (Elixir 3)
  • Electro Dragon (Elixir 5)
  • Tombstone (Elixir 3)
  • Zappies (Elixir 4)
  • Elite Barbarians (Elixir 6)
  • Knight (Elixir 3)
  • Bomber (Elixir 2)
  • Average Elixir Cost: 4.0

With the first deck, you can use The Log trick that we explained earlier to gain an Elixir advantage, while Tesla Tower will keep you safe from potential Mortars, Hog Riders, or even bigger warriors like Giants. Bats and Magic Archer will keep the air clear, opening up the path for Golden Knight to push forward as your major troop to deal damage to the opponent’s crown towers.

The second deck requires quite a different and courageous play. The average Elixir cost here is a bit higher, but you also get stronger units. If you manage to cover your Sparky with enough units, it can easily destroy the opponent’s Elixir Barrels as well as crown towers. Elite Barbarians are also quite a good option for countering the opponent’s potential Mega Knight attack on your side.

Barrels ‘O Fun event will be available until next Monday. A challenge version of the event will go live this weekend with more Season Tokens and a special reward for completionists.
