Clorinde is one of Genshin Impact’s elusive Fontainian characters—a Champion Duelist who once served as Furina’s bodyguard. She has shown to have close ties to Navia, Wriothesley, and Neuvillette, and was involved in the Fontaine Archon Quests.
With plenty of updates since Fontaine’s initial release, Clorinde and the little Meropide, Sigewinne, remain as the only previously revealed characters who have yet to become playable units. If you’re interested in knowing more about Clorinde, here’s all the information we have gathered from leaks.
Everything we know about Clorinde based on Genshin Impact leaks
Genshin Impact Clorinde release date
There is currently no confirmed release date for Clorinde, but she will not be released in Version 4.6 as HoYoverse only released Arlecchino’s drip marketing assets prior to Version 4.5, making the Fatui Harbinger the only new five-star coming in the next update. As such, the earliest possible release date for Clorinde would be in Version 4.7—but keep in mind that this timeline has not been officially confirmed.
Genshin Impact Clorinde kit
Clorinde has been leaked to be an Electro unit with potential DPS or sub-DPS capabilities. Due to the uncertainty in the leaks surrounding her, it’s unclear whether she has any off-field damage sources. An early leak claimed that she may be a Cyno 2.0, but it was later disputed due to confusion between Clorinde and Arlecchino.
While Clorinde’s full kit has yet to be revealed by any leaker, rough leaks suggest a potential Energy-focused kit. According to early sources, Clorinde may possibly use a gun-type weapon (such as Chevreuse’s musket and Navia’s gun-brella) that requires her to consume Energy to reload bullets. There are also rumors that she may have Fontaine’s unique HP-draining mechanic, where her HP drain gives teammates Energy and teammates’ HP drains give Clorinde Energy.
The HP-draining mechanic suggests that Clorinde may have a mutually beneficial relationship with other Fontainian characters with a similar mechanic. Some potential teammate candidates include:
Genshin Impact Clorinde potential build
With so little information surrounding Clorinde (even her weapon is unknown!), we can’t realistically piece together a feasible build for her. However, there’s a chance for her to be compatible with the four-piece Marechaussee Hunter Artifact set, as it offers a CRIT Rate boost whenever HP increases and decreases. The passive is compatible with Clorinde’s rumored HP-draining mechanic, but it will only be useable if she ends up with a DPS-focused kit.
