Cyberpunk 2077: 7 Best Cyberdeck, Ranked

Advertisements

Cyberpunk 2077 players have access to all sorts of interesting items, from cyberware upgrades to Iconic weapons and everything in between. Some of these items can fit into pretty much any build while others are a bit more situational and are designed for a very specific type of playstyle. Cyberdecks are part of the latter category. These items are incredibly useful and allow V to use Quickhacks both in and out of combat.

Since the launch of Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0, Quickhacks work particularly well in conjunction with Smart Weapons, though they’re still perfectly viable in combination with other weapon types. But whether you use Smart Weapons or not, you’ll still want to stick with the best Cyberdecks in Cyberpunk 2077 if you’re looking to become a legendary Netrunner. That’s where this list comes in. Keep reading to find out how every type of Cyberdeck in the game stacks up against the others.

Cyberdecks have received a massive overhaul in Update 2.0. There are fewer options to choose from now, but all decks have become more streamlined and specialized. While some options are still better than others, all of them are perfectly viable now and your choice should primarily boil down to your build rather than raw stats.

7 Biotech Σ MK. 4

Best Cyberdeck For Melee

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberdecks Ranked - Biotech Σ MK. 4

The Biotech Σ MK. 4 promotes a melee-focused playstyle that uses a Monowire as the primary weapon. If the Militech Apogee Sandevistan is your go-to Operating System implant for a David Martinez playthrough, the Biotech Σ MK. 4 is the main upgrade you’ll need for roleplaying as Lucy. However, there is a little catch. While the 25% Monowire damage boost is quite substantial, it only works against enemies affected by damage-over-time effects, making this Cyberdeck a bit more situational than it may first appear.

Overheat, Contagion, and Short Circuit are some of the obvious Quickhacks you’ll want to pair with this Cyberdeck. The Biotech Σ MK. 4 strongly encourages you to get up close and personal with the Monowire while enemies are affected by these Quickhacks. This can lead to some pretty epic fights, but it can also lead to your quick demise if you’re not good at melee. Even though the Biotech Σ MK. 4 is a lot of fun to use with the right build, the fact that it routinely forces you into a vulnerable position makes it a questionable choice compared to some of the other Cyberdecks in the game.

6 Militech Canto MK. 6

Best Cyberdeck For Bosses

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberdecks Ranked - Militech Canto MK. 6

The Militech Canto MK. 6 is a pretty unique Cyberdeck that comes with a lot of pros and cons. The Cyberdeck comes equipped with a special Quickhack called Blackwall Gateway that deals a ton of damage to groups of enemies and can’t be removed. The Quickhack is very powerful, but there are two tradeoffs to using it. First, this is by far the most expensive deck in the game in terms of Cyberware Capacity. Secondly, you can only equip four other Quickhacks in addition to Blackwall Gateway. By comparison, all the other Cyberdecks come with eight Quickhack slots.

Another interesting thing to note about the Militech Canto MK. 6 is that it eats up RAM every time it spreads, and the cost increases exponentially with each upload. You can reduce the RAM cost if you’re willing to trade some of your health, however, that would mean having to pair the deck with health regen perks and items just to make sure it doesn’t kill you. The Militech Canto MK. 6 is a little too gimmicky for our taste, but we definitely see the value in having access to something like Blackwall Gateway. Despite being designed to take out groups of enemies, the Quickhack is also surprisingly potent against bosses.

5 Netwatch Netdriver Mk. 1

Best Cyberdeck For Environmental Hacking

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberdecks Ranked - Netwatch Netdriver MK. 1

The Netwatch Netdriver MK.1 is a powerful Cyberdeck that comes with a few quirks. Similar to all the other decks, the Netdriver underwent major changes in Update 2.0 and is now a specialized item designed for stealth builds. On one hand, that’s great news for players who love using cameras and other devices to take out enemies before they even knew what hit them. On the other hand, the Netdriver is a poor choice for players who enjoy a more direct approach to combat.

The main selling point of the Netwatch Netdriver MK.1 in Phantom Liberty is its ability to use the environment to inflict crazy damage. Any facility teeming with tech can easily be turned into a veritable minefield thanks to this bad boy. And, if you stick mainly to cameras, your chances of being discovered by enemies are fairly low thanks to the -20% traceability bonus. But despite all those benefits, the Netwatch Netdriver is only an average Cybderdeck all things considered. The deck isn’t very useful in a lot of outdoor areas due to the lack of devices and it eats up an unjustifiably large amount of Cyberware Capacity.

4 Raven Microcyber MK. 3

Best Cyberdeck For AoE Damage

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberdecks Ranked - Raven Microcyber MK. 3

The Raven Microcyber MK.3 is an absolute beast for dealing with groups of enemies, especially organic ones. When fully upgraded, the Cyberdeck allows Quickhacks to spread twice as far as normal. Moreover, this effect is instantaneous, so you don’t have to wait around twiddling your thumbs while the initial upload finishes. The Raven Microcyber MK. 3 works particularly well when paired with Quickhacks like Contagion and Overheat.

This Cyberdeck should be your go-to option for dealing AoE damage, however, it’s pretty much useless against bosses or Cyberpsychos. You can expect the Raven Microcyber MK.3 to be able to clear small groups of weak enemies with relative ease when fully maxed out. Clearing bigger groups is viable as well provided you can get Overclock to trigger, which won’t happen all that often with a proc chance of only 15%. While the Raven Microcyber MK. 3 is great at what it does, it’s not versatile enough to recommend it over some of the other Cyberdecks on this list.

3 Arasaka MK. 5

Best Cyberdeck For Stealth

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberdecks Ranked - Arasaka MK. 5

The Arasaka Mk. 5 is hands down the best Cyberdeck in Cyberpunk 2077 for stealth playthroughs. The Netwatch Netdriver MK. 1 is certainly a viable option as well, but it can’t really hold a candle to this deck if you’re doing a serious Ghostrunner playthrough. Here, you’ve got not one but two bonuses to work with that substantially increase trace progress. The second one, which becomes active whenever you use Overclock, would be downright broken if not for the fact that it’s only a temporary buff.

A player equipped with the Arasaka MK. 5 becomes virtually untraceable unless they become overzealous and use too many Quickhacks at once. Normally, that wouldn’t happen due to RAM limitations, but it just so happens that this Cyberdeck is adept at conserving and recovering RAM. The only reason why the Arasaka MK. 5 isn’t even higher up on this list is because our first two picks are a bit more versatile. But if you’re going for pure stealth, there’s no better Cyberdeck than this one.

2 Militech Paraline MK. 4

Best Cyberdeck For Jack-Of-All-Trades Builds

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberdecks Ranked - Militech Paraline MK. 4

The Militech Paraline MK. 4 is one of the few Cyberdecks in Cyberpunk 2077 that still give you the option of playing a jack-of-all-trades build post Update 2.0. Well, sort of. The bonuses granted by this Cyberdeck encourage you to use Smart Weapons and a Monowire in conjunction with Quickhacks in combat. You don’t have complete freedom to mix and match gear if you want to get the most out of it, but it still gives you plenty of options to work with. This is especially true in Phantom Liberty where Smart Weapons are better than ever before.

The Militech Paraline MK. 4 is worth considering even if you’re not a big fan of either Smart Weapons or the Monowire. That’s because this Cyberdeck gives you a flat 10% damage bonus to all Quickhacks with no strings attached. The best part is that this bonus unlocks as early as Tier 2, so you don’t have to worry about maxing out the Cyberdeck in order to start seeing massive benefits. Combine that with the fact that you can acquire a simple version of the Militech Paraline early on in the game, and you’ve got yourself a Cyberdeck you can rely on throughout your entire playthrough.

1 Tetratronic Rippler MK. 5

Best Overall Cyberdeck

Cyberpunk 2077 Best Cyberdecks Ranked - Tetratronic Rippler MK. 5

The Tetratronic Rippler MK. 5 is an entirely different animal compared to the previous version you may be familiar with pre-Update 2.0. In Phantom Liberty, the Cyberdeck is designed to work in tandem with weapons, making it a slightly worse choice than before if you’re going for a pure Netrunner build. However, the Cyberdeck is now a much better choice for hybrid builds thanks to the +15% weapon damage. Granted, the bonus only applies to enemies affected by non-combat Quickhacks, but this is still one of the only Cyberdecks in Cyberpunk 2077 that provides some sort of weapon damage bonus.

The main reason why the Tetratronic Rippler MK. 5 still takes the crown in spite of some drawbacks is because of the RAM bonus. At max level, this bad boy gives you +12 extra RAM, which is more than any other Cyberdeck. This allows you to queue up Quickhacks like there’s no tomorrow and, wouldn’t you know it, the Rippler has an additional passive effect that encourages you to do exactly that. The cherry on the top is that the Tetratronic Rippler MK. 5 also gives you free Reboot Optics and Weapon Glitch Quickhacks whenever you activate Overclock.
