CD Projekt RED, along with partners from Tabletop Games and CMON, launched a Kickstarter fundraising campaign today for a board game, Gangs of Knight City, based on Cyberpunk 2077. In general, the project was given two weeks to raise funds, but the necessary amount of $100 thousand was raised in just a few minutes after the start, and at the time of writing this post, the amount of funds raised exceeded $217 thousand.

The challenge involves playing as local gang leaders and their attempts to take complete control of Knight City. You can play with yourself or your friends – up to four players in total. Promise freedom of choice, non-linear narrative, and a meeting with old familiar characters.

The launch of the board game, judging by the description, will not take place until next summer at the earliest.
