Destiny 2: 10 Best Void Fragments, Ranked

Advertisements

The Void subclass in Destiny 2 was revamped in Season of the Risen along with the Witch Queen expansion. It was the first Light subclass to receive the 3.0 treatment. Each Void subclass got 3 brand new Aspects as well as a selection of Fragments.

The Void subclass is extremely potent across different Warlock builds, Hunters, and powerful Titan builds thanks to the damage potential it has because of Suppression and Weaken, as well as survivability because of Devour. Void contains 16 Fragments each of which brings something new to the table.

10 Echo Of Domineering

Echo of Domineering

Echo of Domineering works as “After Suppressing a target, gain greatly increased Mobility for a short duration and your equipped weapon is reloaded from reserves. Suppressed targets create a Void Breach when slain.”

Echo of Domineering also comes with a benefit of +10 Discipline. Void Breach are Void subclass elemental pickups that provide extra melee energy when pickup. Echo of Domineering grants +30 Mobility after Suppressing a target.

9 Echo Of Vigilance

Echo of Vigilance

Echo of Vigilance is an effective Fragment for dueling purposes as it states “Defeating a target while your shields are depleted grants you a temporary Void Overshield.” Echo of Vigilance comes at a cost of -10 Recovery.

Echo of Vigilance works extremely well in The Crucible, allowing you to get a Void Overshield whenever you win a duel, making it easier for you to enter the next duel without waiting for your health to be regenerated.

8 Echo Of Leeching

Echo of Leeching

Echo of Leeching provides an extra source of health regeneration as it states “Melee final blows start health regeneration for you and nearby allies.” Using this Fragment also provides you with the benefit of +10 Resilience.

The health regeneration provided by Echo of Leeching is directly affected by your Recovery stat and this regeneration can be activated by both charged and uncharged melees. This makes Echo of Leeching much more effective in The Crucible.

7 Echo Of Obscurity

Echo of Obscurity

Echo of Obscurity is the only fragment that allows a player to become Invisible. Echo of Obscurity works as “Finisher final blows grant Invisibility.” Echo of Obscurity equipped also grants +10 Recovery.

On Hunters, it is fairly easy to achieve Invisibility thanks to the Void aspects Hunters have access to but for Warlocks and Titans, Echo of Obscurity is the only method of achieving Invisibility.

6 Echo Of Expulsion

Echo of Expulsion

Void subclass has great ad-clear potential thanks to the explosion damage it is capable of and Volatile effects. Echo of Expulsion enhances this potential as it states “Void ability kills causes enemies to explode.”

These Void ability kills can be from any source of Void damage whether they be Grenades, Melee kills or Super kills. These explosions have a chain reaction effect, meaning enemies exploded by these explosions will cause further explosions.

5 Echo Of Instability

Echo of Instability

Volatile Rounds is a Void Weapon exclusive buff that allows Void weapons to fire bullets that cause Void explosions and Echo of Instability is the main way in which you can get Volatile Rounds.

Echo of Instability states “Defeating targets with Grenades grants Volatile Rounds to your Void weapons.” Echo of Instability also comes with a benefit of +10 Strength. After getting a Void Grenade kill, your Void weapons get Volatile Rounds for the next second which can be refreshed by getting another Grenade kill.

4 Echo Of Undermining

Echo of Undermining

Weaken is a strong subclass verb that allows combatants affected by it to receive 15 percent more damage. Echo of Undermining allows players to more effectively weaken targets as it states “Void Grenades weaken targets.”

Any damage inflicted by a Void Grenade when Echo of Undermining is active will weaken the combatant. The enemy will stay weakened as long as the target stays in the Grenade’s area of effect. Echo of Undermining also comes with a penalty of -20 Discipline.

3 Echo Of Remnants

Echo of Remnants

Echo of Remnants states that “Your lingering Grenade effects (Vortex, Void Wall, Void Spike, and Axiom Bolt) have increased duration.” Echo of Remnants is a must-have for any Void build that features one of the above Grenade options.

Echo of Remnants increases the duration of these Grenades by 50 percent, which allows them to deal more damage as well as provide more crowd control. Echo of Remnant works extremely well with the Contraverse Hold Warlock build using Vortex Grenades.

2 Echo Of Persistence

Echo of Persistence

Echo of Persistence improves the Void subclass buffs as it states “Void buffs applied to you (Invisibility, Overshield, and Devour) have increased duration.” This Fragment however comes at the cost of a -10 penalty to the stat that affects your class ability cooldown.

Invisibility, Overshield, and Devour are extremely strong subclass verbs, and getting them for a longer duration is extremely beneficial. It extends the duration of Invisibility by 2 seconds and increases the duration of Devour and Overshield by 50 percent.

1 Echo Of Starvation

Echo of Starvation

Echo of Starvation is the only Void Fragment that provides players with Devour. Devour is an extremely potent survivability tool that instantly fully heals a player upon getting a kill as well as provides Grenade energy with each kill.

Echo of Starvation states “Picking up an Orb of Power or Void Breach grants Devour.” It also provides +10 Recovery. Thanks to the new Armor Charge system and buildcrafting options, generating Orbs of Power has never been easier allowing you to have 100 percent Devour uptime when you have this Fragment equipped.
