Ever since the introduction of Weapon Crafting in The Witch Queen expansion, a total of 9 Craftable Exotic Weapons have been released. Some of these Craftable Exotics are obtained from Exotic Missions while some are obtained from different activities.
Osteo Striga was the first ever Craftable Exotic followed by three Class Specific Glaives. Later on Revision Zero, Dead Man’s Tale, Vexcalibur, and Dead Messenger were also introduced as Craftable Exotic Weapons. Here’s how they stack up against each other.
8 Edge Of Concurrence
Edge of Concurrence is one of the three Class Specific Exotic Glaive and belongs to the Hunter class. Edge of Concurrence has Arc affinity and has the Exotic Perk Lightning Seeker which states “When weapon energy is full, consume it before firing to make your next shot track targets across the ground and unleash chain lightning on impact.”
Despite this Glaive getting numerous buffs, it is still the weakest Glaive in the game and one of the worst Exotic weapons in the game. Its Exotic perk is extremely underwhelming as what it does can be done better, more frequently, and effectively by the perk Voltshot. There are just so many better options that in its current state, Edge of Concurrence is completely useless.
7 Edge Of Action
Edge of Action is the Class-Specific Exotic Glaive for Titans and has Void affinity. Edge of Action comes with an Exotic perk called Remote Shield which states “When weapon energy is full, consume it before firing to make your next shot deploy a protective shield on impact.” This allows Edge of Action to create a mini-void bubble.
This Void bubble acts as a Ward of Dawn, It does not provide you with any damage boost, but it provides you a Void Overshield. Edge of Action is useful in some scenarios but there are so many better and effective options to get a Void Overshield that it does not justify the use of Edge of Action.
6 Edge Of Intent
Edge of Intent is the Class-Specific Exotic Glaive for Warlocks and has Solar affinity. Edge of Intent features the Exotic perk Restorative Turret which states “When weapon energy is full, consume it before firing to make your next shot deploy a healing turret on impact.” This healing turret got a buff a while back which allows it to heal you and nearby allies faster.
Restorative Turret is pretty useful in PvE as the healing it provides is noticeable. However, the issue arises with how underwhelming Glaives are in PvE and PvP. Edge of Intent is by no means a bad Exotic and has some pretty good functionality, the only problem is that Glaives are weak in the current sandbox.
5 Revision Zero
Revision Zero is obtainable from the Exotic Mission Operation Seraph Shield. It comes with the Exotic trait Hunter’s Trace which states “This weapon fires special shield-piercing ammunition. Precision hits grant targeting data. You can swap to the alternate scope, loading high-damage rounds based on the amount of targeting data.”
Revision Zero is one of the most customizable Exotic in the game. It has two firing modes, a four-round burst as well as a two-round burst. It also comes with the perks Vorpal Weapon, Slickdraw, Elemental Capacitor, Perpetual Motion, Eye of the Storm, and Moving Target.
4 Vexcalibur
Vexcalibur is an Exotic Glaive that has Void affinity and is available from Node Avalon Exotic Mission. Vexcalibur comes with the intrinsic trait M1R Distribution Matrix which states “Blocking damage with your shield gradually bestows Void overshields to yourself and nearby allies.”
It also features an Exotic perk Perpetual Loophole which states “Deal additional melee damage while protected by an overshield. Defeating targets with melee final blows while the overshield is active will refresh it.” Vexcalibur is probably the best Glaive in the game thanks to how easy it is to generate and maintain Void Overshields.
3 Dead Man’s Tale
Dead Man’s Tale has received numerous buffs and nerfs ever since it was released in Season of the Chosen. It has dominated The Crucible for a long time and is still the best Scout Rifle for PvP thanks to its Exotic perk Cranial Spike and its Exotic Catalyst Dark-Forged Trigger.
This allows Dead Man’s Tale to get bonus Range and Accuracy as well as remove the Hip-fire penalty. Dead Man’s Tale recently became craftable in Season of the Witch and can now roll with Outlaw, Fourth Time’s The Charm, Compulsive Reloader, Killing Wind, Moving Target, Vorpal Weapon, Rapid Hit, and Shoot to Loot.
2 Dead Messenger
Dead Messenger is an Exotic Wave frame Grenade Launcher that is obtainable from the Vox Obscura Exotic Mission. It comes with the Exotic perk The Fundamentals, which allows Dead Messenger to change its affinity among Void, Solar, or Arc.
Dead Messenger also comes with the Exotic trait Trinary Vision which allows Dead Messenger to fire three waves instead of one from a single shot. Dead Messenger after being craftable also comes with perk options of Demolitionist, Thresh, and Unrelenting.
1 Osteo Striga
Osteo Striga is a Precision frame Kinetic Submachine Gun that is unlocked for crafting after beating The Witch Queen campaign. Osteo Striga is a weapon of sorrow, meaning that it does poison damage as well as synergizes extremely well with the Warlock Exotic Necrotic Grip.
Osteo Striga comes with the Exotic Trait Screaming Swarm, which states “Fires a stream of sentient, toxic projectiles that track the targeted enemy.” It also comes with the Exotic perk Toxic Overload, which states “Landing a final blow or multiple precision hits triggers a burst that poisons nearby targets.” Osteo Striga is an amazing Primary weapon that is great for clearing out a group of enemies as well as dealing a decent amount of damage.
