Fresh news about Diablo Immortal – and this time without microtransactions. As it turned out, the release of the mobile RPG did not go so smoothly: the game’s premiere in the Celestial Empire had to be postponed.
Reported by NetEase, the publisher of Immortal in China, announced the news. Initially, the premiere was scheduled for June 23, but a few days before the cherished date, the company announced that the premiere had been postponed indefinitely. The press release mentions that there will be some gameplay and technical changes. As compensation, Blizzard promises to give users bonus items.
What’s interesting is that shortly before the news broke, the Diablo Immortal account was banned from posting to the local social network, Weibo. Whether there is any connection between the two events is unfortunately unclear—neither Blizzard Entertainment nor NetEase have commented on it.
