Fortnite used to feature Supply Drops when it was first released. They had great loot inside but there was also the danger of running into other players who wanted their hands on the loot too. This would create intense moments in the match and was quite an adrenaline rush for some players. But now the Supply Drops have been replaced with another item known as the Combat Cache.  In this guide, we are going to talk about what Combat Caches are and how you can retrieve them successfully in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.

How to find Combat Caches in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1

Combat Caches are made available to players when the third Storm Circle is revealed. Whenever it is revealed, a timer of 1:30 minutes will start and you will need to reach the Combat Cache within that time as it will open then.

Though more than one Combat Cache is made available on the map eventually, only one will be revealed to you on your map. It will also be revealed to another player so that you compete with them and earn your loot.

Previously Combat Caches also used to have Legendary rarity loot inside it which would gradually get lower and lower with time. But now, only Rare rarity loot can be found inside it along with healing items and throwables. So even though they don’t contain Legendary weapons as before, they still offer a pretty good deal and if you are short on some good loot, going to a Combat Cache will be a good choice for you.
