A new Fortnite update is now available to download and install across all supported platforms, marking the return of the fan-favorite Halloween event, Fortnitemares.
This year’s event will once again see a plethora of new spooky skins available in the Fortnite item shop, as well as some big collabs. Alan Wake, Michael Myers, and Jack Skellington are just some of the new skins joining Fortnite for the 2023 Halloween event. Players can also expect plenty of new content and quality-of-life improvements with today’s patch.
There’s plenty of content for players to check out in the new Fortnitemares event, but the update does sadly come with some server downtime. Whilst you wait for Fortnite servers to come back online, make sure to check out the official maintenance schedule and patch notes for the October 10 update below.
Fortnite Server Downtime Schedule For October 10th
Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite servers will be down on Tuesday, October 10th at 3AM ET / 8AM BST. Although the length of today’s server downtime was not revealed by Epic Games, it does usually last between 2 and 3 hours. Assuming that no issues arise, players should be able to jump back into Fortnite between 5AM ET / 10AM BST and 6AM ET / 11AM BST.
It was also noted by Epic that the file size for today’s Fortnite update will be larger than usual on some platforms. A reason for the increased file size was, unfortunately, not stated.
