Despite appearing like any other human in Fontaine, Neuvillette is actually the Hydro Sovereign of the region in Genshin Impact. He is currently known as the Chief Justice of Fontaine, or the Iudex.

Neuvillette is a 5-Star Hydro character that can function as an extremely powerful Main DPS for your team. Not only can he take out enemies in seconds, but he is also very useful for traversing the waters of Fontaine.

Neuvillette Best Build & Artifact Sets

Since Neuvillette functions as a Main DPS character, you’re going to want to focus on building up his CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG the most. However, he will also benefit from a boost to his HP, since his Charged Attack drains it. With this ability, though, there is an artifact set in particular that can take this negative to a positive.

4-Set Of Marechaussee Hunter

The 2-Set of Marechaussee Hunter will increase Neuvillette’s Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 15 percent. The 4-Set will increase his CRIT Rate by 12 percent for 5 seconds whenever his current HP increases or decreases. This has a maximum of 3 stacks. This set is perfect for Neuvillette, since his Charged Attack will drain his HP, allowing the Marechaussee Hunter 4-Set to raise his CRIT Rate. Tome of the Eternal Flow will increase Neuvillette’s CRIT DMG by a base amount of 19.20 percent. Its Bonus Skill will increase his HP by 16 percent. When his current HP increases or decreases, his Charged Attack DMG will increase by 14 percent for 4 seconds with a max of 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds. When Neuvillette has 3 stacks or a third stack’s duration refreshes, 8 Energy will be restored. This energy restoration effect can be triggered once every 12 seconds. As Neuvillette’s signature weapon, Tome of the Eternal Flow will allow him to reach his highest potential. It hits all the important stats, like CRIT DMG and HP, and will also give him a buff to his Charged Attack, which you will most likely be using frequently.

Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds will increase Neuvillette’s CRIT Rate by a base amount of 7.2 percent. Its Bonus Skill will increase his Movement SPD by 10 percent. When in battle, he will gain 8 percent Elemental DMG Bonus every 4 seconds, with a max of 4 stacks. This lasts until Neuvillette falls or leaves combat. Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds is a lot easier to get than Tome of the Eternal Flow, since you can get it on any standard banner. 4-Star Weapons: Sacrificial Jade & Prototype Amber

Sacrificial Jade will increase Neuvilette’s CRIT Rate by a base amount of 8 percent. Its Bonus Skill will increase his Max HP by 32 percent and Elemental Mastery by 40 when he is not on the field for more than 5 seconds. These effects will be canceled after he has been on the field for 10 seconds. Sacrificial Jade is especially useful if you swap between characters a lot, since this will buff Neuvillette’s HP and Elemental Mastery, therefore increasing his damage.

Prototype Amber will increase Neuvillette’s HP by a base amount of 9 percent. Its Bonus Skill will regenerate 4 Energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds after using his Elemental Burst.
