A long time has passed since the last new game in the Gran Turismo series came out. With GT7 out now, that wait is finally over. In this game, there is a lot of content and a lot of love for cars. People who are new to the game might be scared when they first start playing it because there are so many things going on at once. To help you get used to Gran Turismo 7 in its early days, we’re going to go over a few simple tips.
Gran Turismo 7 has a good single player career mode called GT Cafe, but it’s also a good place to start for everyone. The first thing you should do as soon as you start playing is go into the cafe and do all the missions there. From teaching you how to drive, brake at the right time, turn corners, and more to even helping you figure out how to tune your cars and upgrade your cars, these missions help you get a feel for the games early on in a natural way, so our advice is to start working on them right away.

Use of Credits
In Gran Turismo 7, credits are used to buy vehicles and parts for your cars, which is a big part of the game’s progression system. It’s not surprising that a game that comes out in 2022 has a lot of things that can be bought with real money. If you’re short on time or don’t have the patience to earn enough money through gameplay, you can always use the microtransactions. Our advice, however, would be to avoid them. There are a lot of ways to get money and cars in GT7. If you do well in races and complete the missions, you’ll keep getting new cars to add to your collection as well. Focus on that, and you’ll be able to spend a lot of money pretty quickly.
Consider Used Cars
If you don’t have enough money and you want to buy a better car, the Used Cars dealership is always a good choice. Here, you can buy cars at cheaper prices. Even though the quality of the vehicles here isn’t as high as if you were buying new cars, it’s still not a bad idea to check out this section. People who want to be more careful with their money can buy cheap cars and then use the money they save to buy parts to make the cars more powerful.
Game Audio/Sounds
Gran Turismo 7 makes big improvements in the audio department, and not only does this make the game more realistic and feel more like a real car, but it also has a direct and immediate effect on how the game works. It can be very helpful to listen to the audio during races, for example, because it can help you figure out if an opponent is coming up behind you. It can also help you figure out how far away they are from you and from which direction they are coming at you. In many cases, in fact, it’s better not to look in the rear view mirror.
Performance Points
This one should really be obvious, but because it is so important to being able to consistently perform well and make progress, it should be mentioned anyway. Tuning shop: if ever you find yourself having trouble against opponents who are far better than you are, go back to the shop for help. Taking a look at your car’s Performance Points value and making changes and customizations accordingly. A lot of the time, it’s best to spend more money on good parts to make that number go up.
Vehicle Care & Maintenance
Gran Turismo 7 isn’t just a game about cars. It also lets you buy cars and learn about their history. Taking care of your cars is also important. It makes sense that if you drive the same car for a long time, it will get worse. If you want to make sure your cars are in good shape, you should keep up with maintenance. So, every now and then, change their oil or take them to the car wash. You’ll see a big difference in how well they work almost every time.
In-Game Weather Features
Rain, snow, and sunshine: Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of systems and mechanics that are always working behind the scenes to change gameplay. Weather is a big part of GT7. The game simulates weather to a ridiculously high level, with even things like the position of the planets in the sky having a small effect on things like temperature, humidity, and more. There are a lot of ways for you to take advantage of that. In the game, you have to pay attention to everything. The surface of a racetrack under the sun will be much more slippery, so you can make changes to your tires (or your driving style) in order to get the best grip.
Tweaking & Tuning Cars
In Gran Turismo 7, you can go to the tuning shop when you know enough about the game. People who want to change things with their vehicles can do this here. There are a ton of options in the garage that can make small but big changes to how your car runs, and even though this isn’t the best thing for newbies, if you know what you’re doing and spend some time on it, you’ll see a big difference in how it runs.
Explore Sport Mode
There is also an online multiplayer-focused Sport mode in Gran Turismo 7. This mode is basically all of GT Sport in one game. This mode is called “Sport.” The more you do well in Sport Mode, the more important it is to keep an eye on your Driver Rating and Sportsmanship Rating. Both of these are affected by each other, so keep this in mind. A bad Sportsmanship Rating will hurt your Driver Rating as well, so if you drive recklessly during a race that’s going to hurt your rating as well. They both help each other in different ways, so keep that in mind.
Gran Turismo 7 is an unapologetic, hard-boiled racing game, which means that it places a lot of emphasis on being hard to play. Not always, though. This game is a lot easier to play than GT games have been for a long time, which is great for people who haven’t played before. The best thing to do after you get used to the game though, is to make it more difficult. Gran Turismo 7 is a great game because it has great AI and great simulation mechanics. Gran Turismo 7 isn’t for everyone, but if you’re confident enough that you understand the game’s systems, we’d recommend bumping up the difficulty level.
