Hackers are one of the biggest problems for online games. They have been a problem since the early days of internet gaming and have been a headache for gamers that just want to relax after a hard day at work. They especially spoil the life of Call of Duty fans: the situation was so serious that Activision developed Ricochet – a new anti-cheat for Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard. It would seem that the song of the scammers has been sung, but that was not the case: the coders struck back.
As it became known, hackers have already gained access to a part of the program code and began to actively dig into it. The Anti-Cheat Police Department experts also stressed that the vaunted driver has weak protection: it is not difficult to get around it. It is still unknown who caused such a serious (and ironic) leak.
If you must know, the anti-cheat Ricochet was presented to the public just about two days ago. Activision hoped that the new product would find (and punish) cheaters, which would help secure Call of Duty servers. The “server” functions of the program were promised to be launched by the Vanguard release, and the new PC driver was planned to be tested through Warzone.
