Jobberknolls are one of the magical creatures players can encounter while exploring the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy. These colorful birds are pretty common throughout the game, but you won’t be able to catch some for your Vivariums until completing The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom quest for Deek in the Room of Requirement.
Aside from being pretty to look at, Jobberknolls are also quite helpful. When properly cared for, the creatures drop feathers that can be used to upgrade equipment at an Enchanted Loom. Jobberknoll feathers can also be purchased from merchants in limited quantities, but there’s little point in buying them when you can get as many as you want for free.

Where To Find Jobberknolls
Jobberknoll dens are almost just as rare as Kneazle or Hippogriff dens; however, you’ll find at least four or five specimens in each den, which isn’t the case with some of the other creatures. While a couple of dens can be found fairly close to Hogwarts, most of them are located far to the south.
Forbidden Forest Jobberknoll Den
The quickest way to capture a Jobberknoll is to visit the den located at the northern edge of the Forbidden Forest. Use the North Ford Bog Entrance Floo Flame as a starting point and travel east until you spot a large tree that serves as a den for several Jobberknolls.
Feldcroft Jobberknoll Den
Another den can be found a stone’s throw away from the hamlet of Irondale, which is located in the eastern part of the Feldcroft region. Look to the west while you’re in the village to spot a watermill up a nearby hill. You’ll find a Jobberknoll den just past that watermill.
Marunween Lake Jobberknowll Den
This next den can be found in the Marunween Lake region right next to the hamlet bearing the region’s name. Start at the Marunween Floo Flame and look to the south to spot a large tree up a hill and multiple Jabberknowlls flying around it.
Manor Cape North Jobberknoll Den
From the Marunween den, travel south to the hamlet of Bainburgh in the Manor Cape region and then keep going southeast until you spot a waterfall in the distance and a large tree next to it. This tree is home to another family of Jabberknolls.
Manor Cape South Jobberknoll Den
The last Jobberknoll den can also be found in Manor Cape, albeit this one is located in the southern part of the region. Start at the West Manor Cape Floo Flame and travel south past the Hippogriff den to reach it.
How To Catch A Jobberknoll
Jobberknolls are a bit tricky to capture since they’re flying magical beasts that will take off as soon as you approach them. You could try to rush in with your Nab-Sack and try to take them by surprise, but it’s usually a better idea to sneak up on them using the Disillusionment spell. That way, you can get in close without scaring them off.
Catching a Jobberknoll only requires you to press the prompt three times, meaning you don’t need to immobilize it beforehand if you’re fast enough. However, if you find yourself struggling, you can first cast Control spells on the creature before you attempt to bag it and tag it.
