Bungie continues to pound out the plot week after week in Destiny 2’s Ghost Season. This week, it’s Empress Cayatl’s turn to confront her nightmares in Sever – Rage.
How to unlock Sever – Rage in Destiny 2
To unlock the fifth mission in the Sever – Rage series, players will need a Season Pass and the completion of the first four missions: Shame, Reconciliation, Grief, and Rage. They are all part of the Bound by Grief. questline. Week 5 in this general quest begins with step 29:
- Return to Eris in the Crown of Sadness in H.E.L.M.
- Collect 500 Vestigmas of Horror to charge the Harvest of Nightmares.
- Complete the levels of the Nightmare Containment public event in the abandoned Leviathan and bind your Horror Outpourings in the Harvest of Nightmares after completing the last level to create a Bound Presence.
- Listen to the urgent message in H.E.L.M.
- Find Empress Cayatl somewhere in the Underbelly of Leviathan
- Eris requests your presence. Find her in the Sanctuary on the Moon.
- Explore the connection between the Abandoned Leviathan and the Lunar Nightmares by traversing the Lost Sector of Revelation K1 in Lunar Sorrow Harbor.
- Go to the pyramid deep in the Endless Abyss, beneath the surface of the Moon.
- Return to H.E.L.M. to discuss with Eris
Sever – Rage Walkthrough
This week’s assignment flips the script a bit and because of it becomes a much-needed breath of fresh air. Are you ready to take revenge on the unkillable Society?
- Once you land, go forward through the corridors, destroying any Society reinforcements you encounter.
- Descend into the corridor and encounter friendly Society reinforcements
- Destroy the combined forces of Cabal and Scorn to continue your journey
- Install the first Ritual Amplifier
- Go through the doorway and jump over the electrified pit
- Go to the next room, turn around and look above the doorway
- Quickly shoot the two blue lights, then go down into the open pit.
- Instead of walking forward with your Society allies, walk to the right and jump into the doorway.
- When the trap goes off in the next room, look immediately to the right and shoot the blue light to open the door.
- Pull the lever right in the hallway to open the corridor of immolation
- Turn around and shoot the blue light again to exit the room
- Back in the main room, make sure the unkillable Cabal is focused on you, and head to the opposite side of the room you were just in.
- Follow the hallway and jump onto the platform.
- Pull the switch to light the hall of extermination and kill the unkillable
- Remove the lockdown and meet up with your Society friends
- Set up the Rally Banner and show Ghaul what you have learned since your last meeting
